The Kinks
These guys didn't have a thread, so I've gone ahead and made one. The Kinks are one of those bands that are so great yet are often overlooked by casual music listeners, except for maybe 1 or 2 mainstream hits. I think they're one of the most influencial bands in history, and Hopefully I'm not the only one on this board that listens to them!:D

Coldplay MX comic panel at Comic-Con (13 July 2012)
I'm sure someone on here will scan them for people who can't get there hands on them too. I mean, it's not as good as owning it but at least we'll all be able to read it...

LP6
I'd love a baroque pop album! (though I think Viva was kind of one anyways....)

Coldplay MX comic panel at Comic-Con (13 July 2012)
Very interesting indeed. The character on the front seems to be a cyborg. I don't quite no bow to explain that. I wonder if the art on the cover will be what it looks like inside (often tne cover is very different than the actaul art). Are we supposed to kisten to the album while reading it? I don't know, bu this has a lot of potential.

Robyn
Oh, thanks. Well I guess I'll just watch Robyn then. Maybe I'll enjoy it, you never know

Robyn
Who comes on first Wolfgang or her? Cause I wanna see Wolfgang, but as Robyn is not my kind of music if she's first I won't be pressured to get to the venue super early. No offense to her though. I've only heard like 2 of her songs on youtube and it's not my thing.

Brian Jones
Really is a shame, even today. He was a so different from anyone else of that time and it would have been interesting to see what he would have done if he had lived/not gotten into drugs. Fun fact: I heard in an interview with Mick Jagger that the song "Ruby Tuesday", though credited to Jagger/Richards, was primarily written by Jones with help from Keith.

The Beatles' Yellow Submarine film included new songs that were recorded at an earlier date, so any soundtrack for this might be similar to that. We know they have the stuff, and this would be a great time to release it:D

Rant entitiating in 3...2...1... So my power was out for like 4 days. It was 90+ degree weather with no A/C so that was bad. Seems to have come back on now. Apparentally a little over a million were without power in my area. People seemed to have paniced without wifi though, cause for the first time in God knows when I actually saw people outside (granted, a lot of them were just mooching off of library wifi; just sitting in the heat outside of the closed library going on their laptops). I went to see the Euro cup game, but the place kicked out/ didn't let in every family with a member under 21 (which included me) because they could make more money giving seats to people who buy drinks. So I had to watch the game through the window of a haircut place which was different, but during halftime we found a place that would let us in and saw the rest of that. And so now I am back and I don't know if I missed anything good but hello anyways.

People from NYC, I need your help!
Some places have parks with sprinklers where kids can run around when it's hot cause there isn't really much room for public pools, etc. A lot of kids just play in open fire hydrants, but how they get them open I have no clue.

TEENZ ONLY THREAD
^I used to like those but I haven't had them in years. They had a certain kind that used to come in a cylinder of some kind. Those were good. Edit: upon further research I have found that they were called "cheetos asteroids xxtra flamin".

While we're on the subject of Philly, I gotta say I think it's the best place to listen to MX. It's weird that somes albums sound better to me depending on where I am. I don't know why though, it just fits the vibe so well. It's very strange....I guess it fits the sort of urban feel maybe?
