What is your favourite Coldplay song today?
No More Keeping My Feet on the Ground! Or maybe I Ran Away...

Is it just me or is this entire era starting to feel...depressing?
It's unfortunately quite ironic that you feel depressed, cause these songs are probably the most uplifting they've ever done!

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
Hamish and Andy are always awesome, I'll have to watch that tonight!

iTunes Concert=The Best
It is pretty amazing- and especially now because of the free downloads of it! They're awesome too!

[20-Sept-2011] Live On Letterman: Ed Sullivan Theater, New York City
Yeah, UATW was one of the best Coldplay things I've ever seen, they come across as really endearing and awesome when they're acting natural!

Will Champion admits Mylo Xyloto nerves to BBC 6 Music
That's the best (and most accurate) metaphor I've ever seen on this website, ever. Even the whole internet, perhaps!

Am I the only one who is totally PSYCHED for this song?!
I'm definitely psyhced for this song, especially as it's the last track- and Coldplay's last tracks have never been short of epic! Everything's Not Lost=Classic, Amsterdam=Classic, Twisted Logic=Epic (in album's context, not including Til Kingdom Come), DAAHF/Escapist= Perfect match of epic high and beautiful comedown. So yeah, I'm pretty excited too!

Do we like the new direction with Mylo Xyloto
Yes, definitely! The music's a bit simpler, sure, but it sounds 'colourful' and 'warm', when the songs are played live and the studio versions. It must be the production choices that do it for me!

Rank Coldplay's New MX Songs.
1. Hurts Like Heaven 2. Charlie Brown 3. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall 4. Paradise 5. Us Against The World 6. Major Minus 7. Moving to Mars MtM used to be my favourite, but I'm growing attached to the album already! And it's not even out yet!

Up In Flames, DLIBYH on Friday? (--> no)
Ha, I actually like Beth/Rest! Must be cause I didn't grow up in the 80's! In other news, Up in Flames is awesome, perfect in the album context!

The xylophone part played by Guy and Chris in that video is in Paradise!
Wow, yeah! It's the same melody at the beginning but played with some electro thing (no idea what!), but then it's actually on the xylophone in the last chorus/guitar solo. Pretty awesome when you realize you've known a little bit of "Paradise" for over a year now!

The xylophone part played by Guy and Chris in that video is in Paradise!
It's definitely there, I listened to the official download on itunes with earphones, where there's no Dynamic Sound Enhancement that makes the bass loud (like on my mp3 player). Just keep listening in the last chorus after you've played the youtube video of Chris and Guy at the xylophone, then you'll hear it!

Wow, you're actually right! I can't believe it! Well done for finding it!

Paradise is amazing
Awesome collection of opinions, thanks! I actually agree with the cynical/creative mess one- the song does seem very self-aware, and the guitar solo/piano chord progression at the end makes me think that they're deliberately trying to show this, as these parts are deliberately a bit 'off-kilter' with the rest of the song. That's why I love the song! If anything, this makes me really excited for the album, I think it's going to flow really well!

Female vocal? ** UPDATED - It's Rihanna **
Guys, I admire your strong views, but I really think we should give Coldplay some credit before we berate them for something like this. Sure, Rihanna is a pop singer, but Coldplay got her because they believe her voice would suit the song. They're not trying to appeal to a mainstream audience (I'd argue all of their albums are pretty mainstream), they're not deliberately following trends, they're just expressing themselves musically, as they have every right to. For all we know, Princess of China could be awesome! Adding a bit of variety to the vocals may be good! (I like all their songs, from Sparks to Amsterdam through to Paradise and ETIAW, just for a scope of my views) Of course, if you hate Rihanna and her voice, you have every right to be annoyed- but if you're angry because she's a 'pop' act, let's just hold judgment! Oh well, what do I know!?!:)

Official Tracklist!!!
I'm actually happy about this tracklisting- 14 songs is a pretty good amount, even if they've looked at it as a 7/7 split. Therefore they've essentially got a long album to appeal to people that want that, and the album could also be interpreted as two short albums, if any fan wants to listen to a shorter album. Eggs in both baskets! I just hope that the album isn't too short- the 42 minute rule is a noble idea, but I wouldn't want Coldplay selling themselves short if they've got a plethora of awesome and interconnected songs/ideas (although I think they themselves realized this with VLVODAAHF by adding more hidden tracks). I can't wait for the album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Tracklisting
Probably the best one I've seen, exactly what I'm thinking (although it'll probably be wrong...)
