  1. Major Minus 6 Moving to Mars 10 Hurts Like Heaven 24 Charlie Brown 24 Princess of China 15
  2. I can appreciate both for what they are. Live is rarely as done up as the studio version (with the exception of Lost! for sure), so I like listening to both. I have no problems at all with the studio version. His muffled voice gets that very out of this world and creepy point out there very well.
  3. Interesting. I sure hope Chris wins out and gets 13 tracks to us. Shame on you Johnny, Will, and Guy for only wanting to give us 10 out of the many that you've written. :P
  4. Muse is brilliant. The Exogenesis Symphony is absolutely stellar. You already pointed out Yes, which would definitely be a great one. Moving To Mars is already half way there, probably would sound pretty. I think some really high strings playing Fix You would sound nice. Clocks, haha, that would be some killer violin. Will it happen though? I doubt it. Maybe Viva La Vida mixed in with some other songs, but not a strictly Coldplay symphony.
  5. Actually, I can't help but wonder what would happen if a bunch of us all sent in an E-Mail to Converse asking for a Mylo Xyloto themed shoe. We should try it and see what happens.
  6. Bury me in armor, when I'm dead and hit the ground! My nerves are poles, that unfroze.
  7. I think that's very possible. While I still think that ETIAW will be on the album, I think it's very possible that it won't be. It's entire purpose seems to be a rally like song to get you pumped about the album. A summer hit on the radio to get their name back out there, and then that's it. It may have sort of the same purpose as MTM, though you never know.
  8. When you can come up with so many Coldplay references that it requires 616 pages to list them all.
  9. That's what I originally came up with too, was F, Eb, C, then Bb. Could be right, both sound really close. It's like one of those touchy inflection things, so I'm not real sure what to use. Which ever one I like at the time I guess. :P Thanks for the "Youuuu" part though, because I wasn't sure about that part either.
  10. When it first released, the main thing people said about it, was how much it sounded like the older Coldplay, which definitely makes sense to me. I think it's a beautiful song, with a great meaning. I too am a bit disappointed, but here's the main thing. We already have it, and will always be available on iTunes, and most importantly it won't take up space on the album for another great song.
  11. It's like a complete tie between Major Minus and MX + Hurts Like Heaven.
  12. They don't sound anything alike. Hurts Like Heaven is much more fast, and the chord progressions around the chorus sound much different too.
  13. Thanks so much man, again. I think it's cool to see all these people I've learned from YouTube on this forum. You and ColdplayKB are two that I recognize. Maybe you saw the comment, but in case you didn't, I left you a comment under your Moving To Mars tutorial (WickettTheiWok) thanking you for providing it. It was a great tutorial and it's so fun to play, so thanks again man, job well done. :) EDIT: Okay it's actually coming along great, right now I just have one question. When he says, Yoouuuuu, oh you, use your heart as a weapon, and it hurts like heaven. What is the melody to that? I keep playing F, then drop to Eb, and then Bb, but that seems too low, like too far of a drop.
  14. First I have a question. Are you ColdplayChampion on YouTube? (the username kinda suggests it. :P ) Yeah I'll give it a try for sure. Usually I'm pretty good by ear. If I knew the notes to "Written in graffiti on a bridge in the park" I could probably get the rest. I just need a starting point.
  15. Honestly I'm thinking it's another Yes deal. A very different kind of Coldplay song that doesn't receive near as much attention as it should.
  16. I can't stand to see Major Minus losing everyone, sorry. That song is wicked awesome. Major Minus 8 Moving to Mars 16 Hurts Like Heaven 21 Charlie Brown 22 Princess Of China 12
  17. Thanks everyone. The warm welcome is certainly appreciated.
  18. I'm in need of a little help if anyone can lend me a hand here. I learned MX on the piano (easy enough) and I can get the bass of Hurts Like Heaven down just fine, but the only tutorial video I can find is by ColdplayChampion and he only provides back up chords, which is great but I'm looking for the melody to play solo. Can anyone help with that? Thanks.
  19. Coldplay designed high top Converse! COME ON COME ON PLEASE BE IT!!! Still, if this is true, keep a weather eye out on their site, and we'll see soon enough.
  20. .... huh? How on earth could that be?
  21. "Written in graffiti on a bridge in the park. Do you ever get the feeling that you're missing the mark?" - Hurts Like Heaven "Hear those crocodiles ticking around the world. Hear those crocodiles ticking, they go ticking around the world." - Major Minus "We are meeting for the first time can't you see? 7, 6, to 5, 4, 3! We are meeting for the first time singing this space symphony." - Moving to Mars "Light a fire, from a spark! Light a fire for you in my heart." - Charlie Brown Those are some that stick out for me. Not entirely sure if I got the Charlie Brown lyrics exactly right, but that's what he seems to be saying after listening to a couple different live versions.
  22. Wow, it took less than 12 hours to come up with the most farfetched idea possible in regards to this album. Simply hilarious.
  23. I take the stance that mankind as a whole is a rather ignorant species when misguided. I firmly believe that no one man, or any "solution" that any man can conjure up will solve the worlds problems, so in a way, I can relate to what Coldplay has to say in their songs, whether I agree with their left wing viewpoint or not.
  24. I am well aware of that. I hope you didn't take from me saying I'm conservative minded that I vote for anyone with an R after their name, because that simply isn't true. The government hides a lot of things from this world, and so does the mainstream media. My question is, are the messages that are being portrayed by Coldplay accurate? Something that is going to come down strictly to opinion, so I see no need in getting into that. Lies are everywhere, they always have been. I'm all for uncovering them.
  25. Sounds almost like a complete rip-off, but it's plausible. Being a conservative minded thinker, I don't always agree with what Coldplay has to say about world issues, but I will agree that the mainstream media is severely filtered. Some of what they portray I definitely agree with. Take Violet Hill for example.
