[2015-11-26] Chris Martin Interview with Zane Lowe (Beats 1)
So, they should just release the song on TIDAL today then :D That's my advice, if they're really cared about it.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
For me it seems like this one will be quite long album. Probably being close to 50 minutes even.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Honestly, it's not possible to judge things based on 10 seconds, they might turn out something completely different when we hear them in full. For me it just seems interesting so far. I have no thoughts if these are good or bad songs.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I have to say when i heard these recent snippets i got the feeling "we (the band) won't give a fuck about what we just released, there is shitloads of different music to listen if you don't like it" And i'm just loving it so far, because when so many people dislike something, it must be really good. :D

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I think the problem for some people is that right now Coldplay's music is in someway simpler lyrically and melodically, but at the same time instrumentally it is richer than it ever has been. You can hear that these new songs they have gone through a long production progress. When before the VLV and MX songs were almost only carried by melody which Chris came up with, and there wasn't really room for rest of the band to be inventive. Only chance for songs to be good was that Chris had a great demo for band. This wasn't interesting anymore for them and they started learning from Brian Eno. So, through the last 3 albums their production has become one the richest in world music scene right now. But at the same time, it might be true that songs underneath that production don't feel so pure and straightforwardly good as they were before. And with all these production it's possible to "tire out" the song sometimes. Often you need to be able to take in all the little details of the song to appreciate them. I'd say that contribution by Guy, Jonny and Will has never before been even close to how great it is now. Up&Up is amazing! Becoming one of my favourites, i think.

A Head Full Of Dreams (Title track)
After a few listens it grew on me A LOT. First time it was kind of "meh?" Now i'm quite liking it and hopefully it grows even more! It's got sort of aggressive "in your face" rhythm and melody, good opener. I like that they managed to do kind of EDM song that is fully driven by U2-ish guitar. I would describe it with U2DM haha :D

Up&Up
It's a really really good song. It kind of takes everything from their discography and puts together. Chris saying "it took 15 years for us to write this one" is spot on. At first it kind of felt too repititive towards the end for me, but now after listening to it more, it's perfect. All of them playing on this at their best + having a choir really gives the power to the chorus. Really made me feel like this album is a last chapter of what they have done so far.

AHFOD Reviews by Music Critics
Good point! There isn't more of those, but people kind of carried on the general Coldplay discussion, like they do in every thread during these crazy days, my thread is ruined. haha :D Hopefully there will be more reviews and less general discussion in here soon.

AHFOD Reviews by Music Critics
Reviews are done by different people. So i wouldn't compare any ratings like that. Given that Mylo Xyloto didn't really receive 10/10 except the Q Magazine, i wouldn't worry at all.

Coldplay World Tour 2016 - 2017 Discussion
Certainly not final. I guess there will be loads of more dates announced in coming weeks and especially after the album is out. These European dates which have been announced don't even make up 50% of total dates, i assume. Also loads and loads of USA and Canada dates coming up.

AHFOD Reviews by Music Critics
I thought i'd start the thread of reviews for A Head Full of Dreams now, since the first actual review of the album is available read now. Q magazine giving 4/5 stars. I guess there will be some more magazine, newspaper, music site etc. reviews coming up already in these 2 weeks before the album. So i hope everyone would like to post it in here if they find something. :)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Seems like this is the first actual review of the album, giving 4/5 rating - praising music while slightly criticising lyrics. Also some interesting descriptions coming up, like X Marks the Spot being R&B jam.

The AHFOD Leak Thread (LEAK CONFIRMED - NO PM REQUESTS OR LINKS!)
Sounds like leak wars are ON :D

The AHFOD Leak Thread (LEAK CONFIRMED - NO PM REQUESTS OR LINKS!)
I remember MX leaked on Monday 17th October, few days before the Japan and Australian release. Worldwide release of MX was a week later though. Also GS leaked just a few days before the release. I think they kind of covered leak then with streaming the album officially on itunes. But yes, the truth is that albums by artists like Coldplay don't get leaked so easily these days. They only get leaked when the physical copies of albums are being delivered. So if AHFOD is released officially on Friday 4th December, i'd see it a bit surprising if it gets leaked before the start of December. Still i wouldn't be too surprised if leak happens next week, but it's unlikely.

Wow, if that was Birds... it's got potential to be one of my favourite songs.

Anyone wants to bet which 2 new songs they will play in addition to Adventure of a Lifetime and Amazing Day? :P My bet will be on Everglow and Army of One.

Sorry to bring this up, but would that be legal? :D

I guess this replay will be available on Tidal to watch forever. There are some replays of the shows available to watch, for example a concert by Jack White which was live 26th April. So, that's not something to worry about if you have Tidal.

Chris Martin penned "Everyday's like Christmas" - Kylie Minogue
Can't leave out the fact that it's produced by Stargate Actually sounds a bit like a Coldplay's "Miracles", but has more ambient and atmospheric background. I wonder if it's an indicative of what's coming up on A Head Full of Dreams. I actually imagined a few songs on album sounding exactly like that, being atmospheric and having a modern production.

Kaleidoscope
Since Chris said, it's one of the short ones with poem and they put it on the middle of the album, i assume this is the one with The Guest House poem on it and is 1.31 in length. and also Obama singing on it?
