CLOCKS WARM PAD MULTITRACK
Hey, I work on music too..and do videos as well. I was watching a neat little video while playing this song..which gave me an idea. If you do offer the download on this- I might could use it for a song/video that I'm working on.

Hanz Zimmer's Time
Well, I actually did it as an extended trailer you would watch at the movies- not the short trailers on tv. :) As far as the soundtrack.... oh god. M83 just ... does it right. I love them... saw them live too! My fav song off the soundtrack is the theme.. and the song 'Oblivion'. They're both different versions of the same song- one with vocals. Just ... amazing!!!

Hanz Zimmer's Time
Absolutely. Love Interstellar. So on the subject of movies- I did a fan made trailer for a movie called Oblivion that came out in 2013, I believe. It was just one of my fav sci-fi films ever. It had a realism and beauty to it. The way the shots were mostly in daylight, which is unusual for a scifi film. And the simple elegance of his personal airplane. It literally feels like the future. That thing...basically was like if Apple started making airplanes. Just genius.. So I did this trailer to the music of NIN. And I think it came out great- if you or anyone wants to check it out here-

Hanz Zimmer's Time
So I made a video. It’s probably one of my fav songs of all time, Hanz Zimmer’s ‘Time’, set to different visuals of awesome things, big and small. I did none of this.. just brought the visuals and sound together. Completely open-source art. I guess to make this a proper New Year’s post, I’ll say that the video does have a theme about the way westerners view time and events.. linear and forward-moving- when we perceive time this way- it starts to warp how we view the world. It’s not a negative way of seeing it…but it’s certainly not the only way of seeing it. We may not get that New Year’s kiss or have that crazy party we imagine everyone else to be having.. but having amazing moments usually comes at an completely uninvited moment’s notice. Those special moments usually occur when we’re not seeking them out and completely unaware.. there’s no calendar date set- it feels sometimes these moments seek us out. And when they happen we’ll realize that magic moment has always been there and that sequestered feeling we sometimes get during the flood…it’s just reminding us of our universe as a fetus when we were wrapped up in the womb and everything outside of ourselves that made up our world was loving and nurturing. Maybe our current universe still is.. we just forget sometimes. Ok, that’s it for now. Happy New Years or Happy…every other day that’s the same but can be magical if you choose to believe it. Hope you guys enjoy!

LO- ..To Continue
Yay, glad you like! I still feel like this track ...just doesn't live up to my potential though. A little disappointed in some of it. I love the ending though. Just need to redo some...edit a bit...add a bit..

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Basically, my official thoughts on the album are this- there's some sprinkled magic in there- Birds, Amazing Day, Kalediscope.. And I even think Birds and Amazing Day are some of the best songs they've done since AROBTTH. But the rest- is really ... not so good. And the main reason is...they're using tricks by the professionals ...and these professionals are usually hired for people with little talent...to throw in clap tracks and ...work with guest stars.. to release that ultimate radio-friendly pop music. These are tricks that a band like Coldplay has never needed ...or probably wanted. And it does bother me...if I think that these are tricks Coldplay are going to be using from now on... instead of just being a band again.

Why do I dislike AHFOD so much?
All the talk of are they or aren't they selling out is pointless. They've always left it up to the higher ups- as far when albums will be released. Songs come out of Chris all year round. Chris says to the studio-- "when do you want them?" :P

In Dreams (sample of Up and Up)
Thanks guys! I keep changing the damn song...I have trouble letting go of a song and saying..I'm done. Hah, so as of 1am this morning EST ...I uploaded the last mix of it. So glad you guys are enjoying it.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Hey man, I have it finished now if you still want to take a listen. Now it's something I would call my own. Completely redid the vocals to it. I think it's much better..then again maybe I just turned into a turd. Hah. Mobile Link: https://belo.bandcamp.com/track/in-dreams

Why do I dislike AHFOD so much?
I'll add this... I love AHFOD but not in a Coldplay kinda way. It's an album I would love if a pop star made it. It'll never go down as one of my favorite albums like... Parachutes... or even Ghost Stories. There's a glimmer of hope though- in a recent radio interview Chris said "Well, I feel like once we go on stage now- we'll have a diverse selection of songs to pull from. Nothing is missing." when he was asked if they'd gone pop now. I think they will return to classic form...maybe not completely. But if Coldplay does return to rock after doing this kind of album, I'll love them even more. If they fully go to pop, they'll probably nudge a step down in my list of favorite all-time bands.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Thanks! Actually, a friend of mine ..who's really talented ...tore it apart. Said the vox were shite ...and the bass/drums weren't mixed right. So I went back to work on it. Completely redid the vox.. Since you really liked it...I really want to hear if you think the new version is better or worse. I'll post it again when I'm done. I might be ruining it ..for all I know...that's why I think I could trust your opinion since you seemed to dig my style and influences.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
So I made a song using a sample from Up and Up- the woman (I think it's Gwyneth) at the very end of the track. As soon as I heard it- I could just see a song from it. She sings just three notes....I edited another note on the end..and just looped it. And the song came from there. Does anyone know if that sample that closes the album is Gwyneth? Well, hope you enjoy and tell me what you guys think!

AHFOD Music Chart / Sales STATS & FACTS Thread
As far as the whole Beatles thing goes, it makes me remember this article about 5 or 6 years back. I think it was New York Times... don't really remember but it was genius...it said something along the lines of.... There will never be another Beatles. So the age-old question- who will be the next Beatles can't be answered ...but we can start to ask new questions. And so how has the question changed? It's simple - Who's gonna be the next U2? And I think we know...

AHFOD Reviews by Music Critics
Wow, I scrolled through all the music reviews listed on the Rolling Stone site- there were only 2 4 star reviews out of all of them. And the other was the home recordings of Kurt Cobain. Adele had the only 5 star review.. and there probably 30 other reviews.

AHFOD Music Chart / Sales STATS & FACTS Thread
Coldplay sales have been strong as ever. Do you know the album with the biggest week sales record for over 10 years was N'SYNC back in the year 2002? Why is this? Are they that good? No. N'Sync stayed at the top because of the downfall of the recording industry. It's been imploding since those days when people started downloading music. For us that remember those days- you had to buy albums to hear any of it..other than the one or two singles.. they were 18 dollars for an album, and that was that. It's not like that anymore. I think taking into account that- Coldplay is selling more albums than ever. Why do I say that? Because Taylor Swift is one of the first artists to get back in the top 10 of first week sales since N'Sync, and just even more recently Adele beat her album 1989 out with 25. Even though Coldplay didn't make it in the top 10... they were selling more albums after the first week sales. They were even beating Adele out for a minute there.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Army of One and Fun... they both have such simply made melodies and use that same pop structure/formula that I could see damn near any pop artist coming out with these songs. And like I mentioned before...I could see another artist like Sarah Mclaughlan doing Everglow...could definitely see U2 doing AHFOD ..and could definitely see a rap artist doing Xmarks The Spot. Though, I know it makes Chris happy to let the other band members shine...so in that respect I get why they let Johnny conjure up the song with the riff for AOAL rather than have Chris start off every song... but it does feel this has been the very first album ...ever of Coldplay's ...where I felt the originality took a hit. Ghost Stories..I had never heard anything like it. I do agree that yes, Hymn for the Weekend...is up there in the list of original Coldplay songs since it has a lot of different styles and I'm not hearing anyone play a piano riff like that...currently in modern pop radio. And Amazing Day which is...definitely original. I would basically break it down like- Original- HFTW, AOAL, Kaleidoscope, Birds Unoriginal- Everglow, Fun, X Marks the Spot, Army of One, AHFOD, Up and Up Even Ghost Stories had ....the big questionable (which I still think is original due to the melody still being so Coldplay) A Sky Full Of Stars Every other song....I couldn't hear another band doing. Look at Midnight- I hadn't even heard anything like that before from any band. You could argue similiar vox effects in singers like Imogen Heap...but still really different. The formulas followed on a few of the songs were not from Chris certainly...and maybe not even the others.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
My main point is...this album is the sound of a band trying to remain relevant. Not just having fun in the studio. I love Coldplay, I do. But everything from the sounds used..to the melodies. Amsterdam was an original melody- Everglow is not. You can both call them piano rock...but ...just sayin.. Maybe another way of putting it... if Army of One was exactly the same...maybe a little less guitar, but had Katy Perry's voice... I would believe it was a Katy Perry song. I wouldn't believe that about Amsterdam, for instance..

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Well, Amazing Day and Kaelidescope are the least-pop songs, but the rest really could be summed up as pop...even pop rock. Because Hmyn has drum crashes and lead guitar...which that's about the most furthest from rock- song. I think all and all...it's a good album...maybe even great. But ...it's great in a different way. A way I'm not happy with Coldplay. For this reason- a lot of these songs could've been written by someone else and I wouldn't have been surprised. I could've heard Taylor Swift do Hymn For a Weekend or ...Up and Up. I could hear Sarah Mclaughlan do Everglow. I could hear U2 do the title track... or Fun or Army of One, X marks the spot.. they could've been done by a number of modern pop artists. Who else would do a Politik? Or ..Shiver or Sparks? They're not doing their ...original-type material... potential. To me, the most original song would be ...Adventure of a Lifetime.. that riff is not likely to have been conjured up by anyone but Johnny. The lead guitar, that is. And it's got a great build to it, in the way that Coldplay has always been good at. A lot of these other songs don't have that kind of build up. I think Coldplay should make an album for their fans next. This one is for ....the football stadium, the Super Bowl, if you will. They're trying to get noticed by everyone. But making music everyone ....kinda loves. It's not as righteous a path as making music no one else could make...and making a permanent mark on those few people that do take notice.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Right? This song could've been so much more with more traditional production. Just ...this song doesn't fit with the production to me. And I remember reading that Coldplay recorded 8 versions of the song, and chose this one. I don't know why...makes me wanna hear the others.
