  1. Susquehanna Bank Center (formerly the Tweeter Center) in Camden, NJ is probably the best outdoor venue around the Philly area. I wonder why they're not playing it, honestly. Saw them there back during the Twisted Logic Tour.
  2. Got my ticket for the tour kickoff in Oakland. Can't wait! Keane and Coldplay both within 3 months...what could be better?
  3. I was pondering going, but this year's lineup really doesn't do it for me. I love The Killers (and have seen them 3 times live), but there's NO WAY they should ever get the top billing for a festival like Coachella. Paul McCartney's headlining slot and the rest of an awesome Friday are the only really great things to me about Coachella. I think I'll skip it and possibly check out Sasquatch in Washington this year. Not quite sure yet, though...
  4. Thank you, dear Lord. I've been waiting for so long.
  5. Let me just say, when I had my first play of the album and "Magnificent" came on, the first thing I thought was--"The Unforgettable Fire" And I mean that in the best of ways. If this album reminds me of anything, it's early U2 with their newer influences in there. Think Achtung-era influences thrown over the Unforgettable Fire sound. It's brilliant thus far. Even Get On Your Boots sounds better in the context of the album, actually.
  6. What row in Section 3 did you end up getting?? (For Mansfield, right?) I managed to somehow grab a pair together in row Z of section 3. Still don't know how that happened, but after a careful inspection of the way their rows are set up, that's 19th row! Which is FRIGHTENINGLY good for grabbing them from Live Nation! Now comes the really hard part...waiting 6 months!
  7. You can still pull tickets in Sections 4 and 5 right now pretty regularly! Good luck!!
  8. Wow, checking out people's experiences here...I got freaking lucky. Got right in there and got 2 together in Section 3. Were the Ticketmaster/Live Nation gods on my side today?
  9. Radio presale: VIVA Ticketrush presale: VENUE But I think Ticketrush is what you're better off going with.
  10. Just got my tickets. Section 3, Row Z. Not too bad, not too bad at all. :) Now only 6 months to wait...
  11. Exact same question. The Ticketrush "more info coming soon" change just freaked me out a bit.
  12. Yeah, I was wondering if anyone had heard if there was going to be a presale on Friday for this, as Livenation claims. I'm going to be coming to this one for sure--a 5 hour drive, only for Coldplay!
  13. This show is just about 10-15 minutes from my college. Unfortunately...the show is July 13, so I'll well be back home then. :( Looks like I'll be hitting up an East Coast show!
  14. I've just arrived! 3:10 AM Pacific time. I have two midterms next week (this is the time when college ceases to be fun) and studying for them right now, but having a Coldplay announcement right before I head to bed sounds like a good idea.
  15. All I have to say is that I would REALLY enjoy a Coldplay album filled with tunes like The Goldrush and The Dubliners. Folksy and amazing.
  16. You should definitely go! I was like third row for their Warfield show back in December and it was absolutely great. I had seen them the night before at Night So Silent Night, but seeing them from the other side of a huge arena doesn't really do them justice. Really glad I got to see them up close and personal--definitely a worthwhile experience. And as much as anyone hates on their album stuff, their live performances absolutely bring down the house.
  17. No doubt their best video ever. Finally something that stands out--a clever idea that was executed perfectly and with a great deal of humor. Good job, Coldplay!
  18. Needs a couple more listens before I can decide. I'm thinking this is going to be a grower, but it's rather "ehhhh" for me at the moment. Not bad, but not especially memorable either.
  19. Wow, this was incredible. The ones on getting an album out and after playing Glastonbury cracked me up big time.
  20. Thanks you two! Getting there at 10 or 11 would be an easy wait, considering I was planning on all-nighting the Today Show back in June. Think I'll be going for some standing tickets next week then! :D
  21. Thinking I might head to this concert to make up for my Dublin trip that got screwed up last week. Question for my French friends: if I went for standing tickets, how long would I have to wait prior to the show to get a good spot? (I'm all for camping out for Coldplay, but I think exploring Paris would take precedence in this case if your answer is like 24 hours!) Looking at pictures of Parc des Princes, you could be VERY far back on the pitch. :laugh4:
  22. The Today Show, no doubt. A Coldplay-filled morning I will never forget, all thanks to coldplaying.com.
  23. Unfortunately, I got news today that I'm not going to be able to make it to the concert on the 22nd. Prior committments, combined with the nasty snowstorm here in the States, made sure of that. Thus, I have two tickets available for the show on the 22nd for face value. But, if anyone is interested in buying my 2 tickets, let me know TODAY. I could still do international overnight shipping today and the tickets should in all likelihood make it to you in Ireland by Monday. And I'll also send along the scans by e-mail as a back-up in case the real thing doesn't make it there in time. (Which actually does work, believe me.) Thing is, if you want any chance of getting them shipped, I need a PM today[/i]. Tickets are Block E, Row 32, Seats 132 and 133. Cost is face value, 132.30 euro, (exactly what I paid for them through Ticketmaster with booking fees), and say, 10 euros tacked on to get them out to you. Or I can just e-mail you the scans and forgo the shipping--and you can pay me through Paypal. You put faith in me, and I put faith in you. :laugh4:

  25. Really? I've actually done it more than once...considering all they do is scan a barcode these days, you pass it off as one of those "printed out" tickets.
