Seems like Rebecca Robinson just hates Keane and really can't accept anything else. I wish she actually talked about the music rather than bashing the band the whole time. Makes me wonder if she even actually listened to the whole album.

Any particular reason why iTunes is listing the deluxe version of Perfect Symmetry as "explicit?" Anything in the demos or something? :laugh4:

I think a large part of allowing the album to connect rests with the lyrics. Just read the lyrics to Perfect Symmetry...they're as poetic as anything Tim has ever written and strikingly sparse at the same time. Absolutely fantastic.

Spaceman was incredible on SNL last night. Just...wow. It's been a good few hours for music: Glass of Water premiere, awesome Spaceman performance from the Killers, and a Keane album leak. Brilliant!

Anyone else think that Keane might actually start to get some respect with this album? I sure hope so!

I only have one word after a few listens...and that is: WOW. Perfect Symmetry is an obvious standout track, but so far, I'm loving Black Burning Heart the best. It's like this new Keane with a ton of old Keane thrown in...and the random French verse is fantastic. Just love it. I also think Pretend That You're Alone is awesome, too. The album has such a good flow, immediately starting with Spiralling and The Lovers Are Losing--chilling out a bit in the middle--and then totally buoying itself up at the end again. I usually don't connect with albums this fast. Under the Iron Sea was kind of a "what is this" for me the first time I heard it, but this isn't like that at all. Killer setlist from Friday. I was supposed to go, but the train situation didn't work out and getting stranded in San Francisco didn't sound too thrilling to me the night before Lovefest. :laugh4: And I couldn't find any friends that share my appreciation for Icelandic post-rock. Which is a shame. But I was able to sell my tickets and buy Killers tickets at the Warfield with the proceeds, so it's not a total loss. Hoppipolla would have been incredible though... :(

Don't get my hopes up with that one, as it actually sounds moderately plausible!

Just paid much more than I ever should have to get two tickets for the 21st. But I think it's going to be totally worth it. I saw them at MSG about two years ago (way in the back, mind you!) and now I have GA floor tickets at a 2300 person venue. So this is going to be insanely awesome!

I was there, too. Unbelievable show even though I got stuck way back up in the nosebleeds. Looking forward to seeing them again--they need to be seen live to get the true Killers experience.
