  1. Has anybody noticed that the item (the target deluxe edition) price has changed by time? When I ordered it by the end of April, it was priced 12.99$, now it says 13.99$ Am I hallucinating or it is just a normal thing that prices change? or there was something wrong with my order? I am extremely scared now :Uhoh:

me too :( & where is Brooke? the queen of this thread?
  5. Late to the party, but may someone kindly explain to me what did Chris mean (in the 2nd part) when Zane was saying that musicians should get paid & Chris answered by : it is 40:20:20:20 & everything else is 25:25:25:25. I thought they changed the royalties split into that 40:20:20:20 a while ago, so what is divided 25% each? or I am completely misunderstanding

Oh, I just need new buckin material. I miss them :\ I was thinking actually of Jonny's incredible riffs in GS (on the songs we heard uptill now), & how he really lifts the songs as Chris said. I think this is his was of showing his love, by making such lovely music to support his friend's emotions & lyrics. Like Zane lowe said of the band hugging Chris. That's why I think Jonny is at his best in GS. LOVE
  7. :laugh3::laugh3: I love this thread
  8. Sorry to hear about this Tash. I sincerely hope you get better soon. You are surely missed.

O.k. I think I have a real problem, when watching Chris kissing Andrew Garfield on SNL, all what I could think of : "Why not Jonny ? :bigcry: :bigcry: then I condoled myself by convincing it that backstage Chris must have rehearsed that scene a lot with someone :charming: Yeah , I know, I am desperate :disappointed:
  10. Apparently these are from yesterday's appearance in France..Will just looks so adorable & cute :awesome: link link
  11. another article sorry I can't upload all the photos, my computer is not being helpful at the moment :/

  13. Thank you so much for the quick reply. That reminds me I haven't yet congratulated you for the site ownership. I was going to do so on the other thread with a piece of advice "Don't get easily disappointed & don't lose Tash";) Congrats & thank you. Tash, we are waiting for your return :)
  14. On Coldplay.com, I can't find the rest of their archive section as the timeline, Prospekt's notes & the rest of the photos! Have they been deleted or are they hidden somewhere I can't find?
  15. I am not uptodate with whatever happens in the site, but I noticed the disappearence of the very active member & forum moderator Tash. I just saw the list for the moderators & she is not included anymore  She is really a great asset to this forum & a very valuable member. Can anyone explain what has happened to her? I would hate for this to be due to a disagreement between the new site owner & herself, but I would hate it more if I found out that her disappearence was because of personal problems. I really hope she returns soon. Marc (Sparky), if you can get her back, I will be very grateful.
  16. It's been ages since I posted in the forum :embarrassed: BTW: Where is Tash? Ok let's see if I remember correctly how to post photos. These are from last night: On a side note: Christophe, without the earrings *Sigh*

I wasn't going to post in the forum for a while, but I got a bit surprised no one remembered that we are already on the 1st week of September. 17 years ago, Chris & Jonny met at UCL & magic happened. I don't think they celebrate such silly occasions or even remember them, but silly fans like myself do. Here's a little picspam to celebrate. Happy Anniversary boys
  18. Am I the only one who noticed that Jonny was wearing shorts? :surprised: Ofcourse we are never lucky because the photo is not complete :disappointed:

^ It's the same phrase. The 1st has what seems like the letter i in English (perhaps a typing error). I can't tell why the 2nd one was deleted. Maybe just to put the signature in a different line:thinking:
  20. I reread my previous post & realized it seemed more angry than I thought :\ At first when I joined this forum I loved reading about fans meeting the band. I was naive to think they were accidental, like someone who was passing by near the bakery & had a chance to meet the band. When I discovered that some of these encounters are intentional, I got uneasy with them, hence my reply. Maybe I am just silly, but I think that no matter what a person is (celebrity or random people) , we all deserve our privacy. I would think that most people would love to walk to their work or home uninterrupted. Maybe it's good that people are showing their respect & love for the band, but too much of anything is annoying. Nowadays, it doesn't seem like that to me, but more of a trend going among fans that everyone must follow. Like, if someone has done, so why can't I do it too? It's a trend that won't stop easily, even if the band were forced to add security on the doors, or even accompanying security when crossing the street! It is a working place after all, to them at least. It is not a museum. People in the neighbourhood might not even be interested in the band, but they might get annoyed by the increasing number of strange people waiting on benches for a door to open to jump at someone screaming their name! What we usually read are one sided story from the point of view of fans. We can't form an opinion about that the band actually encourages their fans to come to visit. How would we know if one band member or the other thinks " this fan is a bit creepy/ I have to go somewhere right now/ this is annoying but I should not disappoint them". I know I can't tell that this actually what might be going through their minds at some point, but it's a possibility that has to be considered. To me, I wouldn't go anywhere unless I were invited. I am a conservative person that wouldn't even visit a friend without being invited  so yeah!!

He said " It's a difficult language, I am not very good" but Arabic resembles french that there are different letters added at the end of adjectives if the speaker is a male or a female. What anchorman wrote made it look like a female speaking :P Somebody should have warned him not to use google translate in Arabic. It's good that the phrase didn't come out a full disaster :laugh3:
  22. Safy replied to Pris's topic in Coldplay
Wow! Anchorman is truly awesome :awesome: His tweets make me smile even when I am at a bad mood. :) Such a nice person & so kind to fans.
  23. I am late to this thread, but I voted yes even if it doesn't change the fact that people would still do it. Here are some random thoughts: - The Bakery/ Beehive aren't a listed sightseeing place in London, so I would assume that it is not fine for people to visit it whenever they can. It's not a holy place, it is simply a working place. - I don't agree with the fact that since the band doesn't seem to mind, then it's ok to visit. I mean, who wouldn't get irritated if they are interrupted from walking the street to their work place everyday by people shouting their name, asking for autographs & such? Perhaps they are just so nice to disappoint anyone, but that doesn't mean taking advantage of that. Some of them might be in a hurry, or simply not in a good mood. I know Guy is usually shy & quiet. They can't be ready everyday to meet fans, even if they were the best type of fans. - I have read a story of people waiting outside Chris' home  I have seen 2 videos of him & people asking him to say hello to their friends & that made me furious. What on earth do you think he is? a talking doll that you own? Come on Chris, hold this sign, see what I have for you, say hi to tons of people you don't even know. Then dare call this respectful act of fans. - The theory of: if they are not ok with it, then they would hire a security doesn't make sense. The norm is that people should be able to work without the need of accompanying security all the time. Would you pleased if they had to hire one to keep fans from jumping at their faces all the time? Yeah sure, they are rich & can afford that, but forcing them to do it is a thing I can't understand. - They are celebrities & that's the price of fame! Oh well, so why not punish them for being successful & famous?
  24. Thank you all new writers on this thread  I can't read any fanfics right now, but just wanted to say how lovely it is to find the fanfic threads on page 1 again. Hopefully when I can read them, I will give you my reviews. For now I want to thank Rowan, Penguin, Romy & ofcourse Julia :) Keep on writing. All the best.:) P.S. To Daniela, there were lots of stories on this thread about Chris & Jonny during university. Some of them were left incomplete. Have you read them all?
  25. just to clear things up, AL Nour party wasn't a central party in the revolution against Mubarak's regime. In fact the salafis were against going out against any leader & say it is prohibited religiously. They were never a part of the political scene. After the 25th january revolution, they (& many other movements) founded what is now called islamic parties. Before that, political parties were not allowed to be founded on a religious basis. People did not know them, but some voted for them just because they seem religious, which translates in many people's mind that they are rightious, not thieves, etc. Now many of Al nour party members have left him to join the supporters of Morsi in Rabia because they are being told (by their leaders) that this a war against islam & that they should be martyrs defending it. Please note that this the way one side looks at things. It's impossible now to find a reliable source of news that is biased or lying. Not to mention the huge amount of rumours spread all over the news channels. The protesters in Rabia were never harmed since they began protesting even before 30 June. The people killed today after dawn prayers (dawn prayers is at 3:15 am & won't last till 4 am) were next to a military building, they think it hosts Morsi & wanted to get him out. One of their public figures even mentioned in a video that there will be escalating measures to get him out of there no one should expect them. Some of them were armed & fired against the police & army. (seen in videos) There are 51 deaths, besides the deaths from the army forces. that is a huge number by all means. I am devastated. It's a fight over power that uses religion & people as its fuel. The leaders of this fight will eventually negotiate & come out unharmed, while many ordinary people will have lost their lives or their loved ones.
