Fully understandable :). He is a quiet guy, isn't he? I'm one of the quiet ones, too(seriously, I'm much more chatty online than I am offline), so if I were to hang out with Jonny, we wouldn't have much of a conversation. Just a lot of awkward silence :laugh3:. I apparently seem to follow the "opposites attract" saying, then, because I always go for the lead singers-Chris is just the latest in that list, and they're by nature not quiet at all :p. Well, you sure do seem to hang out in the threads for the guys often... Just what are you doing in there if not fangirling? Hmmmmmm? I can be a definite fangirl sometimes, I freely admit that. But I like to think I'm a fairly mature one, and know when to get all girly and when to shut up and focus on something else. Maybe. Sort of? Hopefully. Well, as you see, you've got another person in the Jonny camp there, so hey, the club's slowly growing (look at it this way, the smaller the crowd of girls going for one band member, the better that bodes for you :p).

Heh :). Can't think of a better musical introduction, though, right? Right. And they both have that sort of driving, "this is so freeing" type of sound to them, too. A lot of U2's music in the '80s had that sound, though :p. It's interesting you say your least favorite song from The Joshua Tree is "Red Hill Mining Town"-so often I run into people who pick "Trip Through Your Wires" for their least favorite. Myself, I like both, so...*Shrugs*. I agree with you on "Exit", too, that song is so dark and haunting and weird. I remember the first time I listened to the album I was confused at first and wondered if something had happened to my CD, 'cause "Exit" starts so freaking quietly. I always thought "City Of Blinding Lights" might've fit in somewhere in the Unforgettable Fire era-sort of alongside a B-side like "The Three Sunrises" or the title track from the album itself. "Zooropa" a reverse of "Streets"? Hm. Interesting thought. I may have to go listen and see if I can hear that.

Yeah, I didn't see it. It needs to be there. A world of possibilities awaits that photo. Someone's got to show the love for Jonny around here :). Sure, I've got my favorite, but I love all the guys, so you've got my support.

Well, I'm glad we've all solved the mystery involving Chris's hands :D. Whichever one he uses often, I don't care, I just love looking at them. I'm strictly right-handed. Can't write/draw for crap with my left hand. So I'll have to find something else in common with Chris. There's a couple things I could think of...we both know about obscure '80s TV shows and we're both horribly self-critical. So THERE'S a love connection waiting to happen :lol:! I like that video, too :). I want to watch the South Bank Show again now, too. Think I'll do that tonight.

Oh, wow. Leave it to a live show (which you're not actually at and only seeing on DVD, but still...) to turn it around. I've always liked the band myself, loved the songs and whatnot, but it hasn't been until the last few years that I really started delving a lot deeper, too. I fully agree with you on that last sentence in your post, I think all the albums make perfect sense together and you can easily see where one progresses into the other. I love seeing how they've changed over time, makes me wonder what else they're capable of in the future. So. Video, eh? I'm going to need to watch this now that we've seemed to try and figure out how to get it to play. And see the new thread as well.

I haven't seen it, either. I'm up for that one if everyone's able to properly view it. I'm not picky, though. There's a lot of stuff out there that'd be new to me, so I'll go along with whatever everyone else decides :).

I was looking at an article online from Entertainment Weekly about the show, and THEY mentioned them. Briefly, but there was mention. And that's here in the States. I'd have written a comment, too. Well done :nod:. I was watching "Idol" tonight and some guy did a bit of "Fix You". Then the chorus of the original version got played in the background afterward. And I sat there analyzing how this guy's version was (Coldplay has nothing to worry about. Let's put it that way). So there's another entry into this "You know you're addicted when..." list :).

I also realize I'm probably pointing out something that everyone else already likely noticed to begin with. But oh, well :p. It's there, anyway, just in case.

For the time being, yeah. Row offered to make me an avatar a while back and I sent her a picture for one I'd like, so someday down the line I'll be changing pictures. But in the meantime, rather than have a blank spot...:).

I was thinking the very same thing. Even if someone just read them aloud to the guys during an interview or something, I'd LOVE to see/hear their reactions.
