  1. Glad I'm not alone, then :D. (Yeah, I tried to go for subtle, but I didn't really know how to do it in a way that would get the point across well enough. Ah, well)
  2. If all this is true and all those artists appear at the closing ceremonies, I am most DEFINITELY going to be watching that. That sounds like it'd be amazing. I really hope it turns out to be true.
  3. Can't argue with that statement, no. That's a fantastic picture.
  4. Aw. I hope they do come back down to your neck of the woods someday soon :). His answers were hilarious. The "sailor" thing in the second one...oh, geez. The "How's it hanging?" bit was great, too. And as for the first one...okay, now I'm going to look at squirrels and laugh, and nobody else will know why :p. Fantastic interviews. Very, very funny and entertaining. I'll have to look for the second half of that second one. I really wish I'd seen them during that tour. Those concert clips looked like a total blast.
  5. Prospector-that's funny! Ah, yay for bad translations :D. Fair point.
  6. Oh, wow. I understand being curious and all, but yeah, I wouldn't do that, either. I'd be too scared to, and know I'd come off as one of those creepy fans. So that's where they're doing some recording, eh? Of all the places in the world... Gah. That latest news has me excited. Come on, new album and release date!
  7. *Falls over laughing* Oh, my GOD. You guys. This thread...just...I love you. I'm not even bothering to try and hide my laughter. If my mom asks, I'll just brush it off with something like "Oh, just random stuff online." Aw. You have to appreciate a dirty joke every now and again. Mine wouldn't be disgusted, they'd laugh and be proud :p. LMFAO. Mine would be something like: :jonny:: Man, I know Chris likes to do it in public, but this is a bit far, isn't it? (Not that he seems to be complaing much from the look on his face, mind...) *Stands in the corner with Kristal*
  8. Wasn't paying attention to the bottles. Don't care . Have to agree with that. That just looks weird :(. Glad to have been of service :D. Haha, those are some good examples! LOL, oh, dear. That does make sense. I'm thinking about the same thing when I go with my friends. Friends are different from husbands, though, and my friends are both girls, so they'll probably be able to handle it better. They'll probably find it really funny, my fangirling (and if they join in, which they may well do, well, all the better). It wouldn't surprise me if your husband did truly KNOW, though. I think most men are aware that their wives/girlfriends have their crushes that they'd like to...well...you know ;). I know, I wish there was a really good quality HD version or something. That's a good one anyway, though. I love his facial expressions throughout. I thankfully don't have to worry to much about "songs I hope to hear" at a Coldplay show, because most of my favorites would definitely be played. But if I had to make a request for a song I'd kill to hear/see at a show I went to, "Yes" would be it. Or "Green Eyes" (then I can pretend Chris is singing to me. 'Cause I totally don't do that already when I hear that song). I like the other video you found, too. The picspams are droolworthy, ladies. Loving everything here so much-hotness everywhere you look. *Tries to figure out which drool smiley Row shared to use* So do I.
  9. Great, thanks! Downloading now...we'll see what happens. Hopefully it'll all turn out nicely and we can still enjoy the show.
  10. Nice! I wish that would happen to me-I work at a store in our local mall. If Coldplay were on the music system, it'd sure make work much more enjoyable.
  11. Oh, I was actually referring to the music video for the song itself, 'cause of the abundance of cute young Coldplay in it. But hey, I'll happily talk about the semi-a capella version of "Shiver", too. That is just...um...yeah. The title of the song describes my feelings when I listen to it VERY appropriately. Like I said elsewhere, it's like Chris is right next to you singing to you. And that...leads to many other happy thoughts. I approve of this idea . *More happy thoughts*
  12. Your brother rules :D. That's awesome. I see what you did there . Yeah. Count me in the chorus of liking the tight clothes and such . Never complain about that. Ooh. Interviews. Shall be watching these.
  13. Yeah, I'm not aware of it, either. But that'd be so awesome if it were to be true. I know Neil Finn mentioned "Clocks" as one of his favorite songs on something once, so there's that, at least. *Gasp* Well, that's just horribly depressing. I'm sorry.
  14. Very strange indeed. Kind of a funny thought, though. They sure were. Looking at the little retrospective bit about them I was like, "Ooooh. Damon's a cutie!"
  15. Sexy, sexy song, that one. One of my favorites off Pop. I'm quite big on this version of it as well: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yihwgEazFj4]If You Wear That Velvet Dress - U2 ft Jools Holland - YouTube[/ame] Got the whole "smokey bar/lounge" into a "big band sort of number" deal going on. I love your description of "Exit", too, by the way. Someone pointed out to me once that I seem to have a thing for music that has a nighttime vibe about it all, or that references night, or moons, or whatnot. And I think they're right, the darker and moodier the music, the more I tend to like it for some reason. Not to say I don't like bright, upbeat, sunny stuff, though, 'cause I do. I'm a generally optimistic person, so I like music that has an uplifting, positive feeling or message to it. One of the big reasons why I love U2, after all :).
  16. Brass? Okay. So now I'm even more intrigued. What are you crazy guys up to now?
  17. I wondered about that, too . But I do know what you mean, coldplaymom, he always finds a new way to make us go, "Awwwww."
  18. Well, now we know how he stays so fit. That's quite a workout with all those people! Wow. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. Guy's HOT. And that gif from Sarah. Um. Hm. Yeah. Me like.
  19. Woohoo! Hothouse Flowers...I only know one song by them ("Don't Go"), but I love it. And yay for Johnny Marr as well.
  20. Lizzy, that's pretty cool that you've gotten to meet Damon before! I'm glad to hear he's a great guy to talk to :). It always makes me feel better when I hear how cool a celebrity I like is with their fans. I know! I mean, yeah, downloading's quite popular and I've done it myself, but I've only downloaded because I couldn't find the actual album at that time. If I had a really good CD store with a wide variety of music, about the only time I'd even bother downloading anything would be to make a mix CD for myself or a friend. Otherwise I'd just keep on buying music every chance I got. You're welcome, and thanks! Looks like an exciting meetup you guys have planned here. Really? *Tries to imagine Thom Yorke singing "Girls and Boys"* Hm. I do like that song. It's so...bouncy. And funny.
  21. I really want to visit Sydney. And other parts of Australia. He's a nutjob. I'm not sure he's even aware of what century he's living in, let alone decade or year. Every time he talks I just want to scream and tell him to shut the hell up. But he's a "religious man who's standing up for good Christian family values". And for some reason, people still fall for that line every time. Forget accepting it, we actually still have the occasional story pop up here where religious people insist that creationism must be taught alongside evolution in schools. Kansas in particular has been notorious for those sorts of debates in recent years. Because according to religious people, it's "only fair" that students get both sides of the story. (Now if we were to allow the teachings from any faith other than Christianity as well? A lot of those same people would have a fit) The recent debate over the government wanting religious employers to be required to let people buy contraception with their health insurance amuses me, because some religious people are having issues with that, and all I say to that is, "Well, you're the ones who want state and church to mix, this is the result of that. Sure it means the church can control the state, but it also means the state gets to control you, too." They often forget about that last part when they're chomping at the bit to get church more involved in state affairs. Honestly, I think most Americans themselves feel the same way you do. It's the fringes and corporate interests and religious right who seem to make the biggest noise. I have absolutely no problem with people's religious beliefs or lack thereof. Believe whatever makes you happy and helps you through the tough times and such. I myself am not all that religious a person. I just don't want anyone pushing their views on me, and I don't think we should be electing presidents based on what church they go to each week, if any. As has been proven time and time again, you can go to church and call yourself a Christian all you want, doesn't mean you'll actually live the life you profess. And the social issues-slowly but surely the tides are changing. Gay marriage is becoming legal state by state (I'm proud to live in one of the few that legalized it), more and more people are supportive of gay rights, many people have no problem with contraception, and use it (which makes the debate over it now all the more strange), most people listen to the BS conspiracy stuff about Obama being some bizarre secret Muslim/Hitler/communist/socialist hybrid and laugh it off. It's really only a small part of the country that still freaks out about such things, and they know their views are dying away, so they're trying to cling on and make as much noise with them for however long they can. Thanks. It's maddening and insane sometimes, but we deal with it somehow. I've seen/heard about the news programs from other parts of the world. I wish we had more of that here, I really do.
  22. It confuses me, too, and I live here. I don't know. I don't know how it is people fall for this sort of thing. This is also the same country where an asshole like Rick Santorum is actually getting support in the Republican primary, and Newt Gingrich is for some reason still being taken seriously, so...yeah.
  23. It is. Like, "adorable puppy" kind of cute. On that note, are there screencaps of the "Shiver" video floating around? 'Cause speaking of downright adorable...
  24. Hehe, sorry about some of the ramblings of the previous pages, by the way, some of us kinda got off on tangents at one point :p. This may well be one of the saddest things I've ever read/quoted :(. This is why we're here, though :D. It'd be awesome if we all met up for real sometime. Ooh, yeah, I forgot about that part. Listening to him sing like that, though, sinful thoughts aren't far behind, so...it's not working, Chris, that command . Glad you liked it :D.
  25. Thanks! Glad you liked it, too, Row :D. I know, seriously, if only there was video of that last picture... He looks like he's thisclose to starting a striptease. Which would be AWESOME. Good. Glad to hear it. And I totally understand, even if you have mulitple pets, it's still so hard when one gets ill. My family had three dogs when I was younger, and putting each one down when its time came was incredibly hard every time. Moose is a cute name for a dog :). On occasions. Sure. Yeah. We'll go with that. Most definitely. I remember watching something online with him recently, and he was sporting the beard in it, and the microphone must've been amplified quite a bit or something, 'cause each time he went to scratch his chin I could actually hear him scratching his beard a little :laugh3:. It amused me. *Applauds* You are training him well. Smart boy. If that's loony, then I'm insane, too, 'cause I'd totally do the same thing. How can you not? Oh, my god...*Drools* (we really need a good drool smiley around here) Good morning indeed. *Imagines rolling over and waking up to that each day*
