  1. I know, right? Can't take my eyes off his eyes...so intense...
  2. :laugh3: Okay, now we have to stage an intervention, Row... See, now I think you're all lying . I'm single, so that's not an obstacle :D. My birthday's not until October, so I'm going to go let my mom know that's what I want for a present. That's plenty of notice and time to get Chris to come here, right? Absolutely makes sense . I love how happy he looked to be part of that performance. I'll be sure to join in. It's just not always easy running back and forth from the computer to the TV to tape each bit. But I'll work it out for next time, definitely. Haha, I definitely know that feeling. There are times people just should not call. Hooray for new iphones. It'll be the first one for me! Where can I find the avatar version of the picture at? Or is it already in here and I just missed it?
  3. *Stumbles in after catching up on the whole thread* Oh, dear. Chris would become the envy of many a man after that photo (yeah, guys who make fun of him, look who he gets to hang around?). Rihanna looked fantastic tonight at the Brits, I must say. I'm as heterosexual a woman as they come, but...wow. Damon Albarn's a cutie . Fun to see them at the awards show. I agree, the performance was...all over the place, but hell, I was still bouncing and singing along anyway. They're just there to celebrate, after all, and probably had a bit to drink as well, so you know what, let 'em go nuts. It did crack me up that the guys kept sorta wandering around the stage and Damon kept looking towards the back end of it. I know he was trying to point out some particular people he wanted to thank, but I kept sitting there thinking, "Damon? The majority of the audience is over here, dear." I'm pissed that "Tender" wasn't included in the Fuse broadcast. I LOVE that song. What the hell, Fuse? Happy to see Adele again, she looked great and I loved her chatting it up a bit with Kylie when she went to accept one of her awards (though either Adele's wearing particularly high heels or she's quite a bit taller than Kylie!). Of course, I'm sad that Coldplay lost the "best album" award, but if they had to lose to anyone, I'm glad it was her, and I'm not at all surprised she won anyway. And it does suck that she got cut off, even if it was to introduce Blur. I don't know much about Ed Sheeran, but he had quite a night, too. Glad I'm on the same wavelength as many here about the host. Kinda doofy. Though it did crack me up when those people kept interrupting his camera shot. I know! Jokes. Humor. Ha ha. Learn and understand, press people. I like the idea of a Coldplay perfume. I can just see women everywhere running around buying it up to get their husbands/boyfriends to start smelling like the guys :D. And this... ...hot idea. I am all for this. Ahhhhhhhh. Coldplay. My boys  . The guys sounded great tonight, loved hearing "Charlie Brown", thrilled as can be that they won an award, congratulations to them, for they have earned it. They all looked great, Chris looked to be having the time of his life playing along with Noel...loved it. Loved it all. Definitely made the show worthwhile. Very happy right now.
  4. A Coldplay theme park? I'd go there. I see all of it-the rides, the stands, the ticket booths, etc.-decked out in a bunch of bright, neon colors, courtesy of the band going around and spray-painting the hell out of everything. That is one BIZARRE lineup. Poor guys :(. Yeah, that crowd likely wouldn't be at all receptive to them. How unfortunate, the crowd didn't know what they were missing out on *Shakes head, tsks*. But the band definitely had the last laugh. So hooray for them and hooray for not giving up! That's cool you got to see them back then-at least someone was there to support 'em :D.
  5. Thanks for the link, I definitely want to read this. It sounds entertaining. You're welcome. I feel like I have to say to you what interviewers say to Chris often, though: "Don't be so modest!" .
  6. Well, that gif is just all sorts of loveliness right there. He looked sooooooooooo good. As per usual. No, hey, don't worry, it's cool. I kind of had a general overview of what all was going to take place. I just didn't want to keep needling you about every last detail :p. Ahhhhh. That was good times. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Their performance was fantastic, I liked seeing Chris on the piano during Noel's song (the way they were promoting it in the blurbs I read, I thought he'd be singing with Noel, which I would've REALLY liked. But playing along on a song is fine, too). And during the bit where they won for best group and they were listing all the nominees, my mom, who was watching with me, was like, "I HAVE to root for Coldplay, they're the only ones on the list I know!" :laugh3: (she does like them, though, and would've supported me in rooting for them anyway. But yeah). She also said, when they came up on stage to accept the award, "Glad they dressed up.". There were other non-Coldplay related moments I liked, but I'll save that for the Brits thread itself, which I'll catch up on at...some point. Wade through the pages. But Coldplay. Yay. I'm a happy girl . Edited: HOORAY! Pictures!
  7. Great, thanks :). I'll hold off on asking about Noel and Chris singing together (I nearly forgot about that!). I want to keep a bit of suspense :p. Think I'll go get ready now, so catch you guys in a couple hours!
  8. That description doesn't help me deal with this waiting, Tracie :p. LMAO. That is AWESOME. Now see, if chemistry had been taught that way, maybe I would've done better with it in school!
  9. Haha, agreed. The things those guys will make us put ourselves through sometimes, huh? So their performance is at the start of the show? I thought I'd heard they were kicking off the awards-just want to make sure I know when to start jumping in with the recording.
  10. Hehe :D. Yeah, me and my wacky unusual thoughts! *Hyper* Did I mention I can't wait? 'Cause I can't. 29 minutes. ...god, I'm pathetic :p.
  11. So I take it I'm not the only one who imagines being wrapped up nice and snug in those strong, lovely arms of his :shifty:? Lucky Tracie. *Taps foot impatiently, keeps staring at clock*
  12. Guy has a girlfriend, possibly? *Crosses another hopeful off her list* Seriously, aw, if that's true, that's wonderful news! I'm actually rather surprised to hear he's just now got one! What took a woman so long? Yeah, you pretty much summed it all up :). We do always have the threads for our respective men if you wish to go off and gush in them... Oh, that's okay, no problem! I'm fine with knowing that, now I know something else to look out for during the show to tape! And it's great news to boot. I'm so happy for the boys! If you want to "spoiler" it, go for it, but heck, I'm sure at some point everyone'll find out anyway, so...*Shrugs*.
  13. Now my turn to repost :D. (Seriously. F*cking HELL, he's hot) Hooray for Coldplay! I'm so happy to hear that. *Looks at clock* 1 hour and 10 minutes to go here. Sigh. I CAN'T WAIT! I take it it's all sorts of good stuff? :laugh3: There we go. Mystery solved, then! Haha, "prison". Nice word. I understand this feeling. Housework? Who needs it? (Well, maybe at some point it'd be good to get it done, lest you end up on an episode of "Hoarders"-if you know what that show is :p) Very lucky, yes. The wait just seems to be taking forever. Not too much longer, though. Haha, oh, he's definitely on my mind as I go to sleep. Unfortunately my brain hasn't been nice enough to let me have a REALLY good Chris dream when I'm sleeping, but hopefully someday that'll change. Hello :). Awesome! Thanks! I'll watch these at some point tonight, too!
  14. Exactly. It's frustrating sometimes, but what are you gonna do. I know! I saw, in another thread, a video from a fan perspective of that event, and seriously, it's a miracle he managed to get out in one piece! The fans were just grabbing at him something fierce. I've no doubt the band was probably a bit worried. They carried on as calm as could be, but I'm quite sure they were thinking, "Uhhhhhh...Chris? Chris? Can one of you guys spot him? Is he still out there?" Hehe, that's totally okay! Many of our reviews are likely to be similar anyway, it seems we're all noticing a lot of the same good parts. And like Row said, no, not late at all. Share away! I fully agree. I was really happy to hear all of them get a chance to equally speak. And like you said, they were so relaxed and honest about everything, too. They got the chance to talk about things they really wanted to discuss, instead of having to do the same ol' interview Q&A. And they got to rib on each other a bit, talk about what the others meant to them and what their career means to them and everything-it was really nice. Indeed. And like someone else said, there was a freaking camera crew there! And still nobody seemed fazed. But it sounds like that's just how people over there tend to be-they don't seem as impressed by fame as we might here in the States, they don't "oooh" and "ahhh" over it. People seem to enjoy knocking celebrities down a peg or two! Yes. Bono's compliments about them just warmed my heart. That was a great surprise. Hear, hear to all of the other stuff! The songs, yeah, I too wish I could've heard more.
  15. Is THAT why that thread's suddenly exploded? I was wondering how it got to, like, 80 pages already :p. I'm going to hang out here until 8 pm my time, then I'll be over taping every last bit of the Brit Awards that I need to tape. From the info I've heard about what to expect there tonight, I'm super excited. :laugh3: That's a good one! I'm assuming you mean stuffed elephants...otherwise, who the hell owns four real life elephants? Save for a zoo ? This would have been me when I was in school. It's not a wise thing to do, young people *Tries to give a stern look while shaking her head no*. (But it's really tempting :)) Hahaha, they're really good at winning girls over like that. Yes, I know what you mean. And god, yes, that is fecking cute as all get out. But then again, I could say that about pretty much any of his mannerisms, so...woo for being completely and totally biased. Oooooooooooh, really? Okay, so that spoiler has me extremely happy! You know you're a Coldplay fan when you find out there are people who aren't familiar with their music at all, if barely (! I know!), and so you go on a bit of a YouTube spamming with recommendations and start gushing about them.
  16. Mmmmkay, the hairdos in that one picture...:stunned:. That is hotter than it probably has any right to be. I haven't had a chance to post yet, but I did go through some of the Chris/Jonny thread last night, and, yeah, I'm going to look at those two in a WHOLE new light now. I mean, I knew the jokes going around and stuff, but damn if that thread doesn't make one go, "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...". Some incredibly adorable pictures of them together, though. If they ever were to actually be a couple, they'd be a really sweet one. What's this "Coldplay in Wonderland" thing? A fanfic? I need to start looking at that thread, too.
  17. Faces of America with Henry Louis Gates.
  18. Heck, yeah, I'm watching the Brits! Have a tape ready and everything! I'm really happy Fuse decided to air this. I wish I'd known about this being on Fuse sooner, otherwise I'd have picked up some more blank tapes and could've taped it for someone who couldn't see it for one reason or another. Though how VHS tapes here would play well in other parts of the world, I don't know...I don't know if VCRs are different from country to country or not. I know DVD players are. I really hope there is a link so people can get a chance to see it. :D *High five* Figured you girls wouldn't complain-I sure wouldn't! So it's after 6:30 am here, and I'm just NOW getting to bed. *Night owl* Catch you guys later!
  19. It really is. I've often noticed with all my favorite bands that there's a loyalty that runs through them-they keep a lot of the same friends and family around from before they were famous and they have been friends for a long time, too. It's a quality I apparently seem to look for and value :). As I mentioned elsewhere, I like how openly affectionate they are, too. That's not something you see a lot of men do (depending on where you live, this may vary, though), and it's great that they're so unabashadly friendly and touchy-feely. They may not be related, but they sure have a real brotherly love. Exactly. I know there are some barriers that can't be helped-language, delivery (if someone meant to say something in a funny way but it came off rude or if they're in a bad mood that day what would normally be lighthearted may not be or whatever), stuff like that-but yeah, I always try and get the proper context for what anyone says. I don't want to misunderstand them. And I know journalists have to edit things for space and such, but they should find a way to get people's words across with their intended meanings, too. And besides, people have made much stranger, meaner, crazier comments over the years. The worst people can level at Chris is that he comes off a bit cocky about his band's talents and popularity? Not exactly an offensive statement, and often a very common one from, well, pretty much ANY band.
  20. Poo :(. Hope you manage to get it open eventually, I'd love to see what sort of a picspam you could share! I'd like to do one of those, too. Maybe sometime down the line. Granted, it'd likely be stuff everyone here's seen already, but I highly doubt people would complain much ;).
  21. Hello, Harja. Cool name :). Anyone wants to know why I crush so hard on Chris, I'll just point them to stuff like that :D. How he manages to be cute as a button and shy one minute, and naughty and sexy the next, I don't know. But I love it.
  22. I don't have the technology to make a video, and wouldn't know what to do with one anyway, 'cause I don't play instruments and can't sing or anything. But if someone was making a virtual card or something, where we could all put a little "happy birthday" message of sorts, I'd do that. Edited to add: Hi, ilovechriss :)!
  23. You're welcome . Agreed, this place is full of cool people. Awesome, thanks! Ooh, you're right, that was hot-Chris singing in that lower register just sends shivers down my spine, and the look on his face during the "But it's not easy when she turns you on" line...uhhhhhhhhh, yeah. Loved watching him stomp around the stage a bit, too. It'd be awesome if I got to hear that song at a show of theirs. Nice guitar work in there, too-that jam at the end rocked, and I liked watching Will manage to use that shaker thing and drum at the same time.
  24. I love the video for "Lonely Boy". Simple, back to basics stuff. I love watching that guy boogie down ! The song rocks, too. I completely forgot about the video for "Where The Streets Have No Name". Yes. That one's awesome, too. As is "Take Me Out", though, for my money, my absolute favorite Franz Ferdinand video is this one: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1qPnSZDrAQ&ob=av2e]Franz Ferdinand - Walk Away (2005) - YouTube[/ame] Also my favorite song from them as well . Another one I forgot from my childhood that I liked: Genesis' "Land Of Confusion".
  25. You and I are always on the same wavelength, and I like that :D. "Handsome" is a polite word for how he looked :censored:   So do I. They're so affectionate with each other-you gotta love it.
