  1. It could be Eno's influence behind this? But more likely Kanye, Jay-Z ;)
  2. An racist artist that has built up a career by sampling other peoples work can never be a musicial genius......
  3. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a346160/coldplay-kanye-west-changed-our-perception-of-music.html Oh dear. The BS keeps on coming :(
  4. Simply one of the most stupid things he has ever said. Up there with the birds me thinks ;)

  7. Let Chris go and make his hip hop disco sampled solo album and then in a few years make a back to basic's sounding album. This latest quote from Guy is rather worrying...... Guy on musical influences: "We've made four albums now, and making the fifth album (or making any album) we don't really want to repeat any ideas that we have had on previous albums so we're looking at hip-hop ideas, dance music and lots of other different kinds of music to get ideas from." Oh dear.
  8. wtf? Do you think one of the band members has an illness? :(
  9. Yeh I'm sure Rihanna is in total 'control' of her next publicity stunt/video...... As for picking someone worst maybe they could have not picked a manufactured pop puppet full stop?
  10. Saying Rihanna is a step up than X Factor isn't saying much. Though at least many of those people don't need a machine to help them sing.
  11. Can someone edit the bbc thing into a mp3 please. Thanks!
  12. Rihanna is not an artist - she represents everything wrong with the music industry. It's because of the thinking behind manufactored pop like her little bands don't get a chance to grow and get ditched if they don't sell x amount.
  13. Lets hope they are trying to wind up the purists, even if they are that is pretty low and if they ain't then this album is in big trouble!
  14. If you think the first album sucked then you are the bullshit my friend.
  15. Yes they were but main stream music has changed alot since then and Coldplay in recent years have tried to stay with the crowd playing it safe...... U2 have done the same for years and look what happened to them, for fucks sake!
  16. I notice many of the people who are happy with Rihanna and Coldplays' new direction are new to these forums. The kind of people who like commercial music....just what Coldplay were aiming for.
  17. The progression thing is an excuse that Coldplay would rather stay being commercially relevant. Oh and the U2 "brand" has been playing it safe for years now for the same reason. Radiohead on the other hand have just stepped away from it all. No record deal, they put out stuff when they like, how they like with none of the hype train bs......as well as musicially pushing boundaries. That is the progression Coldplay should be making. But they chose to sell their souls.......
  18. The Continuing Evolution of Coldplay. From a small little acoustic band to a sampling, manufactured music supporting monster!
  19. Yeh cause she isn't up her own backside is she? Me Me Me......
  20. Oh dear the old true Coldplay fan thing. There is no such thing. I just don't like my favourite band for the last 10 years stooping this low that's all.
