I don't know if it will be a major leak simply because of the audio. if it was better, it may have spread.

Hate to say it, but report on what grounds? If this leak is happening, there is nothing stopping it. It would have happened one way or another. EDIT: But the guy should be ashamed. What a terrible fan.

I've heard what everyone else heard, which is a shit recording. But even from that, if you listen, you can hear a synth piano and the bass and thats it. The guitar riff is later when the bass isn't pounding. ETDIAWF seems to have a ton of things going on at once. I think like the rest of the album, it will have fabulous production.

Welcome to the forum. Funny enough, I think this will fit fine on the album. The song seems minimalistic for a dance song. Not too much going on, unlike MX songs. I think it will be fine, and its going to be a huge hit.

I guess I have to now: 1. Always in my head 9.5/10 The studio recording, or what we've heard sounds even better then live. I have a feeling this song will be in the playlist for a while. 2. Midnight 8.5/10 I've grown to enjoy this song quite a bit. 3. ASFOS 8/10 Based of the live recording I heard (I'm a terrible person). Sounds catchy as hell as the melody is in my head, but they recording didn't do it justice. So it could go up more, but for now a solid 8. 4. Oceans 7.5 A great song, but not very catchy. Maybe the studio recording will fix that. 5. Magic 7/10 A solid pop song without much depth and low key. Its a good song. 6. Another's Arm 5.5/10 The song is growing on me, but I am not a huge fan of it. That's just me. I thought it was bad before, but now I know its just me.

The sound was bad enough not to ruin the song for me. With that said, I wont listen to it until its released or performed lived publicly.

I hate to say it, but I think this is Coldplay holding their cards to themselves. I think you guys can expect a iTunes festival-like show. ASFOS will be recorded and put on youtube for all too see, and maybe they want to wait for SNL to play it where they can capture their mainstream audience, which is of course the dance-craved Americans (jk). Hopefully I'm wrong.

Technically, we will be listening to the entire album live before we listen to the studio album, if the special is the album live like it was filmed. And it would work too, with 42 minutes of album time, probably add ten minutes of commercials and a few minutes of non live parts.

lol, I agree 100&. There are some tracks on Kid A and Amnesiac make Midnight look pretty soft, thought thats not a bad thing when we are comparing it to a song where Thom sings backwards

Please don't confuse accessibility and artistry. I do think GS will be more experimental and darker and minimalistic, but Magic is pretty damn accessible. Always in My Head has some of the most beautiful simple lyrics I've heard since Amsterdam. Yeah, Midnight is a bit weird, but so is Chinese Sleep Chant and Twisted Logic and Spies. From what I've heard, everything is being pulled apart and assembled in away that allows the audience to really soak in the message and the tone of each song. It's why, personally, I seem to be repeating GS songs more than MX songs or X&Y. Simplicity is where the accessibility will allow GS to become a top album this year.

You are right about sales. It would take a miracle for it to happen. But I feel like if ASFOS is a big hit, like viva, (plus magic has been a decent hit too) and then the big prime time on NBC... idk, they won't get a million sold in the first week obv (that WOULD be a miracle. Is it even possible?) but something like 500,000 sold albums I see happening if it all works out. And I know I'm being an optimist. But who couldn't with material like we are hearing.

I'm a huge Radiohead fan too, but I still listen to more coldplay simply because of accessibility.
