I agree, though I think there is some small early influence. I wished MTM and Atlas was on MX. Would be amazing.

Of course I prefer Atlas :D I'm speaking objectively that it will be a toss up for critics for the better song, IMO. I can't get over Atlas' ending though.

I don't know... They are really different songs and they both achieve greatness. I can't choose between both of them...

It could be #2. Think about it, a fuzzy, vague, production. Something that jut doesn't make sense, in a brilliant way. Something in the lines of Exit Music (For A Film) by Radiohead, when it turns into its climax.

Yeah, though most people think its false. I think it would be a terrible name though. It's a bit "random".

So the Paul McCartney single was released today and I really wish Coldplay could have a similar sound in at least one of their songs. Maybe I'm just dreaming, but as much as I love Paul McCartney, Chris' voice would be perfect for an upbeat song like this. I do like Jennifer Lawrence, but I am not a fan of Atlas' album cover. I don't know why... It doesn't feel like Coldplay.

I think it has been posted here and in the Atlas threads. In other words, I believe most of us have seen the Katniss painting cover art thing. Unless something else was released that I'm not aware of.

WE NEED PIANO BALLADS. Seriously though, Trouble, The Scientist, Clocks, Amsterdam, Fix You (Sort of). Those are all my favorite Coldplay songs. And really, when was the last time someone made a great piano ballad? (Up With The Birds had a bit of it which was a nice touch).

Pop can be good. Adele and Fun. are two of my favorite artists who are considered pop, and I believe they both have a lot of great songs that aren't formulaic billboard crap that we stereotype pop to be. As to X&Y, everyone thought Coldplay was going to progress from "A Rush" like Radiohead, and they took the more pop-oriented route. In a way, it was better for them as they became the biggest band in the world. If they had made AROBTTH 2.0, then it would have been celebrated.

I saw him in Vancouver back last November, it was fantastic. Best concert I've been to (hopefully Coldplay will change that when I see them for the first time when they start touring). I'm glad he and other musicians see the bigger picture and give back to the community every once and a while like he did.
