Avril butchered it to tiny little bits and pieces and then threw it to the dogs. My ears bled when I heard that one. :( I approach Coldplay covers very cautiously these days, especially after the Lady Gaga incident, so I won't be pressing the play button on those youtube vids in the first post... However, The Kooks' version of Violet Hill is pretty sweet. That's the only Coldplay cover I actually like.

Yeah, on second read, I noticed she didn't really say he can't read music... But judging from this line: He can obviously play other people's music too (for example Eric Satie) so although I can understand you being surprised, not sure why you would feel gutted it seems as though she's trying to say that he can't, but he can play other people's music, too...
