What is it like for you to fall in love?
YES. And it's not like going, 'oh I wanna have your babiez!'. It's about being realistic. It's about knowing that you'd still feel the same way even after you've both gone through a whole lot of crap and seen each other go through the less glamorous side of being 'in love'. It's not all sunshine and rainbows, it's about sticking with each other through thick and thin.

What is it like for you to fall in love?
The dangerous thing about being obsessive is that you may end up being possessive, too. And that's never a good thing. It'll only drive the other person away. Lyvie, I agree with what Braddock said about how you just know when you're in love. Crushes make you feel all giddy and lusty and giggly, whereas love... Well, you may at often times feel giddy and giggly too, but most of the time you feel content. Like, the happiness sticks, and it comes from somewhere deep down (and not just the crotch area, if you know what I mean). :P It's being able to be real with each other and not worry about trying to cover up your flaws in order to impress. I dunno, it's hard to describe. It's contentment.

Thread where Yossarian posts pictures of Steve Buscemi
I remember him from Con Air! And he reminds me of Gollum... In a loving way.

What is it like for you to fall in love?
Oh yes, this too. :nice: But being in love isn't always rainbows and butterflies. It involves a lot of compromising and a lot of time understanding each other. When we have disagreements, we don't say we 'argue'. Instead, we say that we're 'solving a problem'. I know it's just replacing a word with a phrase, but it makes a big difference to how we look at it and deal with it. But yeah, generally, being in love is nice and comforting. Like being wrapped in a warm blanket. Not sure what it's like for other... more... sexual couples though. :laugh3: We won't be discovering that bit until we're married...

What is it like for you to fall in love?
Having crushes is fun! You know, having your heart skip a beat whenever your crush catches your eye. And you can feel yourself blushing when you notice them noticing you... (OMG sounds like that Akon song... :\ :laugh3:) MAJOR CHEESINESS COMING UP! (You asked for it, Lyvie!) Falling in love is totally different. The first time I fell in love, it was scary and at the same time completely awesome. Scary because I was so concerned about how long the relationship would last, how long before he realises that I'm a complete weirdo, how long he'd be able to put up with my weirdness before he'd find it annoying, etc... But I discovered there was no point over analysing these things, and at that the only way to find out was to jump in with both feet! That was five years ago, and yet I still regularly fall in love all over again with the same dude I fell for the first time. :D How does it feel? Comforting. To know that someone's there to support you all the time, to know that someone actually appreciates all the little things that you do that other people may find annoying or weird... To know that you are capable of making another person happy just by being yourself... It's good. :nice:

Stereotypes..
I live in a hut built on top of trees. We don't have tar roads, only dirt paths we use for walking barefooted and when we're riding in our carts pulled by oxen. We don't have TVs or the internets. If you've been seeing tourism ads/patriotic music videos for our country, you'd know very well that a Malay person only wears Malaysian traditional clothes, a Chinese only wears Chinese traditional clothes, and Indians only ever wear their traditional clothes. And anyone who's not of the above mentioned races only ever wear ballgowns and tuxedos. :inquisitive: It is also common knowledge that Malays are lazy and forgetful, the Chinese here are greedy, money-minded and superficial, and the local Indians are violent. --- There. I think that's covered all our Malaysian stereotypes...

What's the thing you hate most?
Racism. I hate racist ****s who think they're so above other races.
-
What's the thing you hate most?
Then what should really be hated here is the fact that the media tell you how you should look. One minute they're telling you that thin is the only way to be fashionably 'in' and beautiful, while the next minute, they're telling you that only curvy women are 'real' women. Seriously, I hate how the media and society in general expect you to look a certain way, when the truth is beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Tiger Balm! I ALWAYS use that whenever I have a blocked nose! It actually smells a lot like peppermint. That's funny, because I've heard a few members on this board who've met Chris say that the man smells like peppermint. It's the tiger balm! :laugh3:

Classical Music
Yeah, it is definitely different from other classical music. I love it because it just stood out from the rest. I was listening to Vampire Weekend just now and I was suddenly reminded of Vivaldi... Don't kill me!
-
Hello Malaysia!
I HATE VAMPIRE WEEKEND. :cry::angry::veryangry2::beadyeyes::(:speechless:

Classical Music
Yay! I grew up listening to classical music. My dad introduced us to Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven... But my favourite pieces definitely come form the Baroque era. I love love LOVE Vivaldi. Winter, Largo has got to be my most favourite!

Gwyneth...
Haha! Alex Kapranos from Franz Ferdinand just tweeted: The woman on the front of this month's Vogue looks like my ex-girlfriend's mum. He is talking about Gwyneth, right?

Florence + The Machine
ARGH! Lucky you! She did actually perform in a neighbouring country after she cancelled the one in mine, but I was broke at the time, and I soooo regret not saving up for it! If she ever comes round again, I'd definitely make sure I have enough money! I'd go to a different country for her, too! Off topic: Not sure if you received the card, but I was your secret santa!
-
Florence + The Machine
Ooh that's a good one, too! She always looks a bit like a possessed witch in her performances, but in a totally amazing way! Always very powerful. That's so cool that you got to see her live! She was supposed to come to my country last March but somehow that got cancelled... :( Probably cuz every one else in my country has crappy taste in music. I don't know anyone else in my country who knows Florence+the Machine! Oh yeah, A-Chan, you're Aurelie, right?

Florence + The Machine
I dunno, other RH performances are usually a bit meh... But the energy in the Glastonbury one, from Flo, the band, the audience, and the way the sun shines(!) just makes it so... moving. And you can tell Flo is just so genuinely happy to be there. Oh I just watched Blinding in Rivoli Ballroom. Wow that girl can scream really well!
