  1. play an acoustic (or otherwise) set, probably of covers or unreleased stuff, under the name of another band, giving no clues beforehand as to who they were - if anyone sees any listings for The Fir Trees, check it out!
  2. yes, if my concert-going-alone experiences are anything to go by, you'll have a great time - just be friendly and chatty with the people around you and you'll enjoy it in a completely different and unrestricted way.
  3. come on people, time to come to your senses - don't let Fix You beat one of the most beautiful songs of the 21st Century (although feel free to vote Sparks too).
  4. not when they're only doing one this december. Its just taunting those of us that can't get tickets. Two stadium shows but only one arena show?
  5. not for a long, long time i suspect don't wish to alarm you, but they (as far as we know) have no set plans on when they will play again in this country after December.
  6. you've had the tickets for nine months? How the hell? I got mine three days beforehand and I needed to trade them twice.
  7. gentleparachute: MPIE is not a concert DVD, Radiohead have only released the one, of a 1994 show (only came out on DVD last week) from London's Astoria. The only other concert DVDs you can get are bootlegs, but luckily there are plenty in circulation.
  8. mwahhaahahahahahahaha Showing a good level of understanding there aren't we. Who wants to point out the factual inaccuracies in the above 3 sentences? I spot one in the first sentence, can anyone spot me another? In the second sentence, "there" should be "they're." :P Seriously though, keep the hate in your own hate thread. That is why you made it, is it not? to be honest, I was more intigued by the mention of how bad a british band they are :/
  9. 9/10 I'm imagining you listening to the Popmart live version though, is that OK? Led Zeppelin - That's The Way
  10. 7/10 , they've done much better in my book. The Music - Cessation
  11. come on then, how about enlightening us on what music you hold at the opposite end of your personal opinion spectrum? I'm used to U2 fans having a severe disliking of Coldplay but figured the other way round may not work as well so I'm intrigued to know what sort of music you do hold dear.

  13. been a pretty naff year compared to the last few. These are my favourites, though if I was being objective, they might not be what I'd consider 'the best'. 1. British Sea Power - Open Season 2. Feeder - Pushing The Senses 3. 22-20s - 22-20s 4. Coldplay - X&Y 5. Turin Brakes - JackInABox 6. Stereophonics - Blood Sugar Sex Ma..........no, Language Sex Violence Other 7. The Raveonettes - Pretty In Black 8. Nine Black Alps - Everything Is 9. Oasis - Don't Beleive The Truth 10. The Magic Numbers - The Magic Numbers ClearAsCrystal, Arcade Fire's Funeral is a 2004 album, or it would feature in my list too.
  14. berrywoman et al, I have uploaded the Radiohead concert at Glastonbury 1997 in the multimedia section and will hopefully add to it at some point. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1205219
  15. ah yes, two concerts and I got to see Snow Patrol, Athlete, Idlewild (and the Bravery, but we don't talk about that one). Oh yeah, and U2, which you also got to see most importantly!
  16. as you've never previously made a post in the Other Bands forum, sadly disabling my ability to laugh at bands you may consider better than U2, would you care to tell us then which band you don't not like, Coldplay aside?
  17. oh no, not by a long shot - their first was was another fantastic gig, in 1997. If you can find the bootleg of this one (there was a link at AtEase but it seems to have disappeared) its superb. If you haven't found it by the weekend, I'll try and upload it for you. That's why, shortly before Paranoid Android (I think, I only watched the DVD on Saturday) in 2003 Thom says something like: "Hey, Andy, remember what we did last time?"
  18. on my iTunes, 1170 U2 songs reigns pretty supremely there, then 377 Manic Street Preachers tracks and 300 Radiohead ones.
  19. Yami, go to the page previous to this one. There are two songs synched up in such a way. It does debatably work, but it doesn't make either song (in my opinion) any better.
  20. i was going to ask if you were at interference, can't say I've ever seen you there.
  21. no, I'm not buying a single because you told me too. I have never bought a single(1 exception, Masses Against The Classes by the Manic Street Preachers) and don't intend to start now. Unless Coldplay refund me for the 70-80 pence that I spent for Fix You on the album. Why do number 1s matter so much anyway? The charts are just the number of people that buy something, it has little bearing on what is, or is not, quality music.
  22. there are wrong answers to this, and right answers to this. The wrong answer is anything that isn't the Scissor Sisters' version of Comfortably Numb. I'll let you work out the right answer yourselves.
  23. I'm not beautiful, stop telling me i am Blunt.
  24. Japanese edition. It's the same as the normal one, but with one (maybe two) extra tracks, one of either The World Turned Upside Down or How I See The World.
