Space Symphony, aka Moving to Mars. :) I wonder if they'll end up repurposing more of these old demos like they did with Arabesque and Love In A Lethal Dose (which undoubtedly became the Avicii collab Lethal Drug). Imagine a version of Mining On the Moon, which is an unreleased Viva demo that supposedly exists on the internet but I've never been able to track it down... that title really sounds like a space rock song. I think Mining On the Moon could be perfect if @LisaFeehily is correct!
  2. Remember how Chris mentioned how Everyday Life originated with the stripped down and raw "Wedding Album" from about 10 years ago? Well, another collab between Avicii and Chris has leaked--the track is called Lethal Drug. I will not link to it nor share any leaks, but here's something I noticed. As you can see from this "best guess" at the lyrics if you haven't heard the song yet... https://genius.com/Coldplay-lethal-drug-lyrics Just look at this verse: "All summer we hung round' On the streets of our hometown Dreamed about us getting close Dressing in your wedding clothes" I really think Lethal Drug is more unused material from the "Wedding Album," which makes sense because the title "Love In A Lethal Dose" (which is another lyric in this song!) was first revealed in 2009 along with titles like Arabesque, Car Kids, Spanish Rain, and Cartoon Heart. For whatever reason Coldplay decided to give Lethal Drug to Avicii, with Chris still singing on the final version. But it's interesting to think about the song's shared origins with at least part of Everyday Life. :)
  3. Here's a "best guess" at the lyrics... https://genius.com/Coldplay-lethal-drug-lyrics "All summer we hung round' On the streets of our hometown Dreamed about us getting close Dressing in your wedding clothes" Sounds like more unused material from the "Wedding Album" that Everyday Life (and to some extent, Mylo Xyloto) originated from about 10 years ago, which makes sense because that's when the title "Love In A Lethal Dose" was first revealed. And for whatever reason Coldplay decided to give the song to Avicii, but Chris still sang on the final version. The interview that mentions the "Wedding Album" is at toward the end of this recording, for those who will undoubtedly ask for a source :P https://coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/coldplay-live-in-amman-november-23-2019-iheartradio-album-release-party.126162/#post-5957603
  4. January would be the best time for me. I think it'll be mid December, though.
  5. I wouldn't doubt that. After all they didn't include the sample in the lyric video:
  6. Zero by Smashing Pumpkins
  7. X-Static by Foo Fighters
  8. Chris sounded off on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago, especially during Orphans. He has had a few vocal issues pop up in the last few years. I remember the uproar here when some folks realized that Clocks was being lip-synced on the AHFOD tour because the vocals were exactly the same every time. I'm not sure if that changed... I need to listen to some 2017 versions of Clocks and compare. I think it's obvious that his voice couldn't really handle it, especially the "youuuuuuuuuu arrrrrrrrrre" bits. Notice that they haven't played Clocks at all in the shows they've done over the past couple weeks... I think Chris is just starting to come to terms with his vocal range changing as he gets older. It's bound to happen eventually.
  9. I wonder how much the US version cuts out. Perhaps the voice memo intro, part of the solo, and part of the outro?
  10. Sorry @I ran away :p Twisted Logic vs Glass of Water

  14. It really depends on when exactly the shows are, because I have final exams coming up in a week and a half. That could make things troublesome. But I'm definitely interested.
  15. After listening to Snow Patrol's Reworked album for a couple of weeks, I wouldn't mind a Coldplay album like that after LP9. Maybe they could put new versions of some X&Y songs on that, along with some other old songs and a new track or two. Bring in Davide Rossi to work his magic with strings on songs like Square One and X&Y. Bring in Jacob Collier again for new versions of Fix You and Swallowed In the Sea. Do a version of Twisted Logic with a big brass section.
  16. Vertigo by U2
  17. Coldplay are for everyone! :) Welcome to Coldplaying!

  19. Singers can and occasionally do make up characters and alter egos. After all, someone (maybe Chris, maybe Matt Miller, maybe someone else) took on the Prospekt persona during the Viva sessions in 2007-2008. "Angelina" could be a legitimate character, or could just be a joke name for an unnaturally high-pitched Chris voice. I suppose either is possible.

That Music of the Spheres billboard kind of makes me think of the Talk music video... Oooh... perhaps a re-recorded version? Maybe something with stripped down versions of the songs like what they've done with most of them live? Maybe an electronic version of Talk that sounds more like what they played on the Viva tour? Who knows, though... maybe it'd just be some remastered tracks and remixes for the songs they are most dissatisfied with.
  21. A 1988 live version of Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. This man's music is absolutely stunning... I saw Eric Johnson live on his 60th birthday a few years ago and I daresay he has gotten even better with age. He's an incredibly nice guy in person too, it was a pleasure to chat with him.

    Car Mountains or the beach?
  23. I never thought of it this way... I thought the Tchaikovsky lyric was just Chris trying to sound poetic or reference some work of his, and I thought of the references to flags as referring to nationalities/immigration, but honestly you may be onto something. Regardless, the "I just love you for yourself" message is so wholesome, and I like when Coldplay can be that way in a song without it sounding really cheesy. I thought that too... The lyrics mention "La Varsovienne," which is the French name of two different Polish revolutionary songs from the 19th and 20th centuries, respectively. There are some very Viva-esque themes here...
  24. My theory? The heart is "BrokEn" by the violence described in Trouble In Town. The lyric video version on YouTube is clean and removes the clip entirely instead of just censoring the expletives: Well said... and this exactly how I feel about it. It's so daring, so honest. It's a song that challenges you to really think about the message behind it instead of just thinking "oh, that's sad," and moving on with your life. It's really jarring, gives me plenty of chills as well, especially when the intensity of the music increases as the situation escalates.
  25. Which makes sense, it's just Jacob Collier who's doing all the editing magic with sample of Chris. It's not all that unlike the beginning of Charlie Brown which is just Chris singing the song but slowed down and really high pitched.
