  1. A Whisper Isn't it cool when all of a sudden you start really appreciating a song that you used to not care for very much? That's what's happening with me and A Whisper right now. :)

Hey there :) Welcome to Coldplaying, I'm so glad you are here and I hope you have fun. :D
  3. I like that theory and Bloodless Revolution is a favorite demo of mine, too. In the same way, I can hear Life In Technicolor and Life In Technicolor II in The Fall Of Man. I can hear bits of the LIT riff in the piano melody and I can hear bits of the LIT II chorus in the 2nd half of the song.
  4. If they were to record a proper, polished version of Bloodless Revolution, it might be an instant favorite of mine from the post-Viva era. I imagine it sounding like a cross between Viva La Vida and Major Minus.

Hi Amy and welcome to Coldplaying. :) I hope you have a fun time here!
  6. This looks wonderful! I think you did a pretty nice job. :) As for the posters, I bought mine from Amazon. There isn't a big selection but you might find something you're interested in. Most of the posters are band photos rather than album covers.
  7. I have A Whisper on repeat right now. I have always thought it's the weakest track on AROBTTH, but all of a sudden it's really starting to grow on me. What a beautiful and underrated song...
  8. I was bored earlier so I went onto the old Coldplay.com and skimmed through random Oracle questions and answers. This one was particularly intriguing: So apparently Such A Rush is another gem that was soundchecked but never formally played live. :( And the mention of the Bigger Stronger soundcheck once again reminded me of all the old songs that have been soundchecked on the AHFOD tour but never added to the setlist. One I Love, Square One, Death And All His Friends, the album arrangement of AROBTTH... :worried: And I thought they said they were beginning to appreciate their older work again. But I guess they were only referring to Trouble, In My Place, Green Eyes, etc. which likely would've been played live anyway if they hadn't done the request thing for this tour.
  9. Yes! I've said this a few times before but that was the song (and album) that made me a fan. :) It's a bit frustrating when I hear how much Chris doesn't care for it, and how much the whole band doesn't care for a lot of the album :(
  10. I love those acoustic versions of MX songs. :)
  11. Remember, the Hymn For The Weekend video was shot in September of last year but didn't get released for several months. So these other ones still could show up. :)
  12. My mom and I were driving around and we passed a neighborhood called Violet Hill Farm. :D
  13. I'm gonna take a wild guess... :P World Without You, an unreleased track from the Ghost Stories sessions. Chris has adored the music of U2 ever since he was young, and they have a song called With Or Without You. I believe Space Symphony was an early title for Moving To Mars. Actually, if Moving To Mars hadn't been released, then the final title would have also fit David Bowie.
  14. Hi there Adrian and welcome to Coldplaying. I hope you have a fun time here. :)
  15. Just because I'm losing doesn't mean I'm lost
  16. Thank you so much!! :) I definitely won't ignore you all here, haha. Maybe I'll be less active here at first as I get my bearings on campus, but I'll still be around here to let you all know how it's going. You're right, this is the adventure of a lifetime! "And I want to share it with you," fellow Coldplayers. :) I'm moving in on Thursday so mine came just in time! Best of luck to you as you start this journey too, and know that you can always talk to me about it 'cause I'll be going through the same thing. :D
  17. Welcome to Coldplaying!!! I think you look a bit like Chris, but like @coldplayisawesome said, you look more like a cross between Guy and Jonny.
  18. This changes fairly often, but here are my current top 5 Coldplay songs: 1. Speed Of Sound 2. Politik 3. Strawberry Swing 4. White Shadows 5. 42
  19. Thank you so much! I'm moving in a few days and it'll be nice to take a bit of Coldplay with me, haha. :D That looks great! I love coloring mandalas and AHFOD sounds like a great inspiration for doing so. :) Sadly, even though Coldplay is one of the most popular bands in the world, it's not really considered "cool" to like them. :( Of course I don't care about that and would gladly tell anyone that I'm a fan, but I think I understand why people might not like to talk about it. Like, I brought it up on a different non-Coldplay forum and the general opinion there is that the music of Coldplay is for gay men and teenage girls. Stupid stereotypes. Not that there's anything wrong with those people liking Coldplay, but there's nothing wrong with anybody else being a fan either!
  20. I love it too! :) It was the first Travis album I've listened to and I'm definitely going to check out more of their music... I'm a stickler for these 90s and early 2000s British bands, lol.
  21. The latest Travis album, Everything at Once.
  22. My Coldplay poster for my university dorm came in the mail today!!! :D It looks like this:
  23. Aww, I'm glad that this will help lift your spirits after your surgery. :) I hope it goes well.
  24. So come over, just be patient, and don't worry
