All right... here are my thoughts (I'm being completely honest, and I'm trying to be constructive :P)

 

"Morning Star" - Nice enough, but it doesn't really do anything for me. Doesn't really go anywhere. I've heard a thousand different versions of this song before. (Hell, I've written a thousand different versions of this song before).

 

"(a)pathetic" - A little better to listen to, just because of the whole band. The synths and piano add some interesting texture, but the song itself has the same problem as the first. The singer doesn't really have the conviction to make that ending special. I can see what you were trying to do with it, though. Jonsi from Sigur Ros would be proud. :P

 

All in all, though, not bad for a bunch of 17 year olds. :cool:

i mean i admit this song isn't super original; it's the only acoustic singer-songwriter type deal. our other stuff is very different and most people are surprised about how original it is...thanks for all the input though
