Uglies by Scott Westerfeld...does it get better beyond the fourth chapter...? I'm not sure if I want to keep going. :/

I tried to read this series once, I don't really remember much but I remember thinking it sucked and quitting. :|

The Death of Ivan Ilych by Leo Tolstoy

first book i read from that author, was an easy read, in fact read the 12 chapters in a day.

I expected a different ending, but the whole process was quite vivid.

Starting with Ana Karenina again by Leo Tolstoy.

that man wrote action so slow, makes one be near to heart attack when seeing a book have 8 parts of around 35 chapters each, and then discover chapters aren't so long.

I'm reading Os Maias by Eça de Queirós. It's a required reading at my school.

I haven't formed an opinion, yet. I'm only on the third chapter.

It is a little tricky to read because it was written in the nineteenth century, there is a lot of words that I don't know is meaning

Yeah, I got to the 12th chapter and gave up (I still read more than most my classmates), it was killing me, I read a resume online and got a good grade anyway

I just finished 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. Although a seven year old could read it, it is still perfectly charming.

I will try to read as much as I can! Even if i don't read the whole book, I'm sure i will read much more than the most of my classmates! :scholar:

Today I started Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto, it's a really absorbing book, I read more than 60 pages in a few pauses during lessons at school...

And I started Wurthering Heights in English a few days ago, I'm not a native so I don't know when I'll finish it, nor I have already read it in Italian or have seen the film :D
