ok, so i've been analysing interpol's song lyrics. so far, i have understood what they are trying to say. but i've stumbled across obstacle 1 and c'mere. the more i listen to them, the more lost i become.

i know that their songs can be taken different ways, but can someone give me hints as to what do they mean?

yup... Paul never divulges what his true lyrics are or what they mean... he likes it that way... and would rather have the songs take on a meaning of their own.

I was listening the other day and I think is about when you saw someone who meant a lot to you in the past, so is kinda a chat about asking the other if you are still important and the other telling you that, it should be you, but is not... well, at least that´s the meaning of that particular one for me.. :)

I think of that line as being ravenous and wild as a pitbull... but 'in time' I interpet it as he is a type of man that takes the opportunity as it it.. he doesn't 'think' about his next move... the way a pitbull is ferocious and wild.. he's just as 'take hold' as the pitbull, but takes the opportunity in time..
