so I recently updated my iTunes on my laptop.. and now, everytime I click an mp3 link, it opens a new Internet Explorer window and plays it thru Quicktime... my problem is.. it used to play it thru media player.. and now it doesnt... how do I change it back... :cry:

that's annoying...I hate when things start opening through other software

Yeah, I try to make a habit of unchecking every single box I possibly can when installing new software... that tends to help with crazy file associations and whatnot.

I usually doit the other way. I click all the boxes and then unclick one by one, to see the changes. I usually get bored by the 3rd unclick, so I guess that's the reason why I always have problems with the configuration (of everything)

apparently.. my 'fix' didnt work... I thought I fixed it but I didnt...

 

 

I went into my documents.. clicked tools and then 'folder options'.. clicked and unclicked certain mp3 files to open with windows media.. and still nada. same problem.. :cry: some one help me pleeeaase!.. its a bitch to save mp3s on my pc.. :cry:

have you tried looking through the Itunes prefrences to see if theres anything in there

or have a look through the media player you want to use and see if ther is some kind of overide that forces that media player to be used

I thought that was what I did?? I am going to check iTunes preferences tonight when I get home.... ;)
