Anyway, I want to see how many Lord of the Rings geeks come on this site. I am officially a geek now because I attended the LOTR convention! I met Dominic Monaghan and Sean Astin. I literally almost ran into Billy Boyd on his way to the restroom... and I saw Elijah from a few feet away. The guys eyes ARE really that blue! :stunned:

Dominic Monaghan?!?! Omg, I'm sorry but I must kill you. Give me your eyes! I love him, especially on Lost. I'm trying to turn into a LoTr geek but I can't get into the books. :(

I am just NOW reading the books... so for me it was the movies that started it all. All the hobbits ROCK! By the way, Sean Astin is the NICEST man I have ever met. Very sweet. :)

The films are ace, books are better except for Two Towers. I' got lost somewhere in the idlle of it and have never found my way out!!!

 

And my tiny, insignificant claim to fame is that Dominic went to school with one of my best mates, and she spotted him in the shop we worked in just after the first film came out.

His books are A M A Z I N G ;) .....better than film......but I like it too :dozey: :D

I'm reading the first LoTr book and i've seen all the movies. I was just wondering why people think the books are better than the movie? :confused:

The last one where Frodo went to join the Elves and everyone was crying was so sad :cry: I cried in the movie theatre :(

Well, what can I say? Tolkien is a genius, and Peter Jackson made those wonderful movies...With a nice cast. :D It deserved all awards ;)

a friend that used to love LOTR said me that people says that Tolkiend dead a bit crazy a bout the storey because he was too obsesed with it, anyways it's a nice movie. :D

Oh my God I LOVE LOTR:ROTK. I cried throughout the whole movie. No, really, I mean it. From that bit where Sam goes, 'I've rationed the bread for our journey back,' to the bit where Annie Lennox sings 'Grey ships pass into the west...'

I even cried during the Oscars for God's sake. Yes, I'm an emotional being...

And you all SO have to watch the ROTK extended version... Exhilirating...
