Im assuming no one here likes the Civil Twilight cover of Teardrop, i heard it live aat a

 

tiny venue and it was great and i loved it and turned me onto MA, but i know nothing about massive attack, and in no way im saying it is better, as good, in comparision etc, to the original, so no fighting please but feel free to throw tomatoes at the noob , i posted it in the CT thread

Don't know if you were watching House when it started but they used Teardrop as the intro song.

You could start listening to the Best Of album, that one's pretty good.

will do, actually Civil twilight just realeased it as a single on itunes and i am gettingi into Massive, but so much music, so little time, just coming off my Arcade high woah!

An absolutely incredible arrangement - it's amazing to see them still taking such performance risks after so many years, and them all coming off :) Unfortunately though, no vocalist can come anywhere close to Liz on Teardrop. I've heard a few others make a great stab at it live, and the original arrangement just about pulls the song through, and makes it a delicious moment to cherish still, but I'd rather they just dropped it completely from the sets than have that experimental version with such a weak singer...

 

Now! If someone could edit that new version with Liz singing then...wow :o :dance:

 

 

<edit> I've also, so happily, seen Liz sing it live a few times herself on the Mezzanine tour, so I know what to compare it to...my goodness :heart: :heart: :heart:
