I am so damn excited about this movie.... I just got tix for the showing at the IMAX in DC on 1/23.

Anyone who can must go see this.. it's gonna be mind blowing for sure..

I think it can be confusing unless one is very observant of the tiny thread date.:rolleyes: If I followed the band closely, I suppose there would be no confusion. But we're not all quite that aware of U2's going's on (yes, I've seen their website, etc., but I've got a lot of irons in the fire, metaphorically speaking). Although, if I had looked further into it, I would have found out the obvious!:dozey:

Anyhow, it would be better, I think, for those who love U2's music, but are not on the concert trail & latest details, to start the thread by another means. (unless you want to be an exclusive club?) Just a suggestion, all traditions aside.

 

 

 

 

I hear ya but if someone started a thread everytime something came up regarding U2 it would be mighty crowded in here.. I think the mods here are trying to keep it simple and uncluttered. Being that this is a general music forum within a coldplay site there isn't another forum to go to that is more specific.

I don't see another thread being started as a good idea. I think anyone new to this forum will be able to figure it out just fine..

Looked at the listings on the website. Only 2 in Canada?!?!? And they're all the way on the other side of the country.

We have an IMAX here in Halifax, I don't know why they wouldn't have it here.....

wow.. that sucks.. maybe it's an issue with the equipment at the theater there or a contractual issue. I am sorry to hear that! You know why don't you call that theater and talk with a manager there to be sure.

 

you know what is real sad... There is not any IMAX theaters in ireland (their homeland) that it is premiering in.. Someone from there posted on another site that they had one but it closed down not too long ago.. Guess they are gonna have to wait until feb. when it goes into wider release..

if in regular theaters you mean the Digital 3D ones that would be yes. It has to be digital 3D capable since it was shot with 3D film cameras.

I saw it on wednesday nite with a bunch of u2 fanatics and it blew our minds! INCREDIBLE.. I plan on seeing it at least a couple more times at an IMAX theater...

I'm going to say a November release, because for the past 5/6 years there has always been something U2 related released in November, CD or DVD

Paul also said October in an interview earlier this week....

 

...but yeah I could see late October-November since they always put something out then.

Other than the Joshua Tree? I would reccomend War. It has some popular songs on it like New Year's Day and Sunday Bloody Sunday. But it also has some seriously underrated songs like Surrender and Red Light. Its one of my favourite U2 albums.

The Joshua Tree is their best arena rock album, Achtung baby sees them experimenting with new sounds and they make a brilliant album from it. All you can't leave behind is great too, other than that they dont have albums Id recommend. Except their best ofs.

Saw U2 3D a second time this past weekend.. OMG... I just can't get enough.. Plan on seeing it at least 2 more times with friends...
