I spend too much time worrying about coldplay to worry about my other favorite bands. It's kind of nice actually, I soak in the wonderful music without losing a minute of sleep over how it came about. BTW I really love "The Unforgettable Fire" and have grown to appreciate "Achtung Baby". One day I'll finally own all their albums, but I wouldn't have enough time to embrace them individually if I just bought them all at once. I suppose its what Larry would refer to as (irish accent) "A musical journey!"

oh, i hope they release it in early 2009. speaking of other albums i really like 'the unforgettable fire', 'achtung baby', 'how to dismantle an atomic bomb' & 'all that u cant leave behind'. i think thats my favorites :)

I read on some paper an article where Bono said that they postponed the release of the new album to early 2009 because they had about 50 songs written and they had to 'make a choice' XDD (I wouldn't mind an album with 50 songs...!)

As for the others album: I have a soft spot for 'boy' (even more after I red U2 by U2), I also love War, the Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby, All that you can leave behind and How dismantle an atomic bomb.

And I'm looking forward to the documentary called 'It might get loud' which featured Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White. It's a documentary on the electric guitar from the point of view of those three significant rock musicians ^^

I know Edge was at the presentation of the movie at the Toronto International Film Festival but I don't think there's a realease date yet...:/ I red in a french newspaper (I *think* it was in Rolling stone) that it will probably be out in early 2009.

Can't wait!

IT MIGHT GET LOUD COMING IN 2009

Good news: Sony Classics has picked up distribution rights to It Might

Get Loud, the recent documentary about the guitar that features Edge,

Jimmy Page, and Jack White. You may remember the movie got some rave

reviews when it premiered at the Toronto Film Festival a couple months

ago.

Sony Classics has distribution rights for North America, Latin

America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, and they plan to

open the film in the summer of 2009.

They should release their first double album!!! God that would keep me satisfied for like a decade probably lol. Considering it takes 4+ years for each album to surface lately.

^I wish but it won't happen... they will hold onto those other songs for the next several years (this is the way its been forever basically) or more and either keep reworking them or maybe some b-sides at some point.

New U2 song for the launch of the charity site Redwire ^^

Ok song, nothing great but it's good to hear something new from them! (I love how Adam has basically nothing to do on this, he just seat and play 3 notes XD)

i think this new song is quite goood!

Thank's a-chan, great song! I'm looking forward to listen a new CD. It has been a long time since they've released one.

Great song.

Gets me excited for No Line on the Horizon...or whatever it ends up being called.

p.s. there are shirts for $8 on U2.com if that tickles your fancy.

U2 spent Thursday in London shooting a video for the first single from the next album `No Line On The Horizon`.

The video was shot by director Alex Courtes, who last worked with the band on the video for ‘City Of Blinding Lights’ in 2006.

Courtes also made the video for ‘Vertigo’ for U2 as well as ‘Giving You Up’ for Kylie Minogue, ‘Woman’ for Wolfmother, ‘Let It Die’ for Foo Fighters, ‘The Fallen’ for Franz Ferdinand and ‘Seven Nation Army’ for White Stripes.

‘No Line On The Horizon’ was due in November but bumped to 2009 at the last moment as U2 decided to keep recording.

A date has not been scheduled for the album but having the first video now under their belt means it will be early next year.

The title of the song filmed on Thursday is being kept underwraps.

I have been utterly obsessed with The Joshua Tree lately. U2 owns
