Chris Martin for Prime Minister!!!

ROCK FANS WANT COLDPLAY STAR FOR UK LEADER

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN has been named the UK's fantasy Prime Minister in a new poll.

The survey, conducted by British rock magazine the NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS (NME), asked readers which musicians they would like to see taking current Prime Minister TONY BLAIR's place as the country's political figurehead.

Ethically minded stars including BONO, MORRISSEY and RADIOHEAD singer THOM YORKE were all front runners, but CLOCKS singer Martin, a fervent campaigner for fair trade, came out on top.

Even Members of Parliament (MPs) admitted they had much to learn from the politically aware hitmakers.

Parliamentary chairman for the LIBERAL DEMOCRATS, MATTHEW TAYLOR, says, "They are straight with their fans, you know where you stand with a band like Coldplay.

"One of the problems with politicians is they do spend a lot of time pretending to be something they're not and I think that's something politicians can learn."

sorry, double post

I'm not britsh, but if I were, Id vote for him!

haha

But then he would we too busy to be in Coldplay?

it's crazy that i can actually see this occurring.

I say right now in their careers, BONO would have a way better chance of realistically becoming a political leader.... :)

The world could use someone with Chris's idealogy and left-winged-ness in power right about now. Screw Tony Blair; go Chris Martin!

<rant> damn right. i'd vote for him. better than michael howard and tony blair. as it stands, voting for the green party is the next best thing to having chris and coldplay in power. All young people who don't want to vote for tory or labour or the liberals or the fucking bnp or are just too fucking lazy to vote should vote for the greens. i'm sure chris martin would want us to. </rant>

:o no way.

he's an artist.

I would vote for Bono

^ haha I wonder why!!

Bono would make a better PM in my opinion.. wasnt he nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize??

The Nobel Peace Comitee get a lot of suggestions every year, and yes, Bono was one of those suggestions. But I don't think they ever nominate anyone, they just announce the winner.

guys i would like also chris to be a prime ministar only if he wants to, which i doubt it, cause then he will leave singin (thats the law...u should leave everythin u where doin if u want to be a prime minister) and another reason is that most of us hate polititians...maybe if chris made it in the politic fieled he would make desicions that we will not agree with and start to hate him as well...so it is better if he stays the plane old loveable chris we all know, and lets not make a moster of him :P
