in a way yes.. but theres nooo way I could resist hearing the songs available

Hearing all this "leaked" material keeps my interest up for the new album and tour.

Exactly, these concerts and radio sessions have made the tension build up like crazy.. I am sooo ready for this album!

the live recordings are going to be nothing compared to the actual studio version. cos the live versions are only special if you've been there... also lots of the net tracks are quite poor quality. i heard fix you live with a woman having a conversation through the entire first verse and chorus. although how she can dare do that is beyond me: fix you is possibly the best coldplay track i have ever heard.... :lol:

^ Agree with you there. Coldplay have improved their live performances a lot but I believe that in essence they are still a studio band --> X&Y is gonna rock our socks off! :stunned:

Since AROBTTH they've been a real LIVE band.

I just think it's a small preview (what's on the net) and it makes me more excited to go pick up the new album. There is still something to be said for going out and purchasing the new album by a band you truly admire. :cheesy:

My sentiments exactly! They could have released the whole album free on the net, and I still would have gone out and bought their album... Why? Coz I think they thoroughly deserve it. I can't say that there are a whole lot of bands out there that manage to earn that kind of respect from me

but also as it was mentioned somewhere else...maybe this is the firls album that wasn't been leaked and stayed unleaked for so long and still goin :P

When a band do shows before the realease of a new album, its to be expected that the new songs will be on the net... doesn't bother me, if anything hearing the live versions make me want the studio versions even more, but i am one of those people that will always purchase cd's once they are on sale even if i already have heard them as nothing beats having the full artwork and the extra goodies that are sometimes on the cd's.
