Agreed. Fix You totally changes pace half-way through and is much harder than the scientist. Both What If and Fix You are awesome.

I find it more melancholic, but it is a great song. :)

I think you need to experience it live to fully appreciate it. Some songs are like that.

Fix You, Low, SoS, and White Shadows are 10 times as good live than on the album... Fix You live is mindblowing beautiful at the end... :)
