June 25, 200520 yr yeah, you have to start with the first album to see progression of their music and theres no doubt Parachutes will wet an appetite to listen to the other Coldplay albums .. just start in order .. it's no good going backwards :)
June 26, 200520 yr AROBTTH It's their biggest selling album and it has some of the most well-known songs
June 28, 200520 yr x&y, because EMI needs it to sell. besides, it's virtually a greatest hits album anyway. :P
June 29, 200520 yr a rush of blood to the head because it's with this album that I discovered Coldplay .
July 3, 200520 yr i'd say listen to Yellow That's not an album. ;) well hopefully they'd listen to that, and fall in love with it, and then listen to the whole of parachutes!
July 3, 200520 yr AROBTTH...just based on my experience..before this album, i didn't really listen to coldplay except yellow and trouble. but i've heard so much about coldplay that i was curious.
July 9, 200520 yr Defintely AROBTTH first, then X&Y and finally Parachutes ... and some B-Sides. I Think AROBTTH is the best start ..
July 9, 200520 yr Since there's only three (all of which are superb) I would say just listen to them one by one in chronological order. That way they get to hear the band as it evolved, etc. etc. WITHOUT it being a massive slog since there's only two albums after that. So three albums is hardly harmful :D
July 9, 200520 yr I'm so happy that I'm not the only one who thinks that Parachutes is their best album
July 9, 200520 yr I'm so happy that I'm not the only one who thinks that Parachutes is their best album I think it's their best album too.
July 9, 200520 yr I like X&Y, but there's some songs on A Rush Of Blood To The Head that really stick out and are just amazing, so I'd vote AROBTTH. :D
July 10, 200520 yr is it just me' date=' or is everyone in this topic being extremely sheepish?[/quote'] what do you mean by sheepish?
July 10, 200520 yr Following the crowd........................not doing anything out of the ordinary.
