NYC@Madison Square Garden-9/6 and 9/7*PICCIES inside*

just got back as well. Was in the 100s section, diagonal side stage, AWESOME view. I agree, i think the energy couldve been much better. My voice is pretty much gone.

It was amazing, i think i can die happy now :)

THey did change politik lyrics here too, this isnt a direct quote but it was something to the effect of "back home in brooklyn, bronx, queens, let's give some love to new orleans".

at the end of Fix You he said "And now it's time for us to say, thanks for coming out to see us play, there's no where else id rather be, than here in NYC" (though that last line couldve been a lil different).

Ok bed for me, i have class tomorrow and need to get up at 9 am. im sure theres more id want to comment on, but i cant think straight.

oh, and i really didnt like rilo kiley. they bored me after 2 songs and by the end of their set i had a headache. Which coldplay cured, of course!

I am going to see them on the 7th. How hard did the security people search? Will they allow cameras cause I do not want to risk losing a $400 camera. And is anyone from the board meeting up before the concert?

berry..where are you I would like your take on it!

those lyrics were fun

Thankfully the Floor sections in the rear 8-12 were on an incline so the view wasn't too bad...

Energy level was much higher than PNC, but the roof didn't quite "come off" as much as expected during the show (not seeing a lot of singing a long)...still a very tight set, quite a fine performance, perhaps the best in the tri-state area this tour.

Setlist: (from my recollection)

Square One

Politik

Yellow

God Put A Smile Upon Your Face

Speed Of Sound

Low

A Rush of Blood to the Head

Everything's Not Lost

White Shadows

The Scientist

Til Kingdom Come

Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash Cover)

Green Eyes

Clocks

Talk

Encore:

Swallowed In The Sea

In My Place

Fix You

I am workin on a few edits now. I also too a little video of Everything's Not Lost.. I thought the crowd sounded lovely. I will try to figure out how to post it... maybe I can uploaded to megaupload or have Ian host it for abit...

had to drop in again just to say COLDPLAY ROCKED!

Are they coming back to MSG in Feb for sure?

Halokity...the security was lax...i felt as if i could've have gotten in even without a ticket..which i'm tempted to try tonight.

- you may have noticed they arent in the order in which they occured.. but I just edited and stuff.. so, I put them in alpha order.. :embarrased:

Awesome pics! The concert was amazing, and it was my first Coldplay concert (so double the excitement)!

I'm sort of disappointed that I didn't bring a camera due to MSG's repeated warnings of their no camera policy and I just didn't want to risk having my camera confiscated. I think next time I'll just ignore those warnings.

Just curious, does anyone have an arena shot from the back (where I was?). Throughout the whole concert and esp. during Low, you could see how packed MSG was. I loved how Chris ran to the center where the sound board was during In My Place.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to more pics esp. because I couldn't take any myself!

-I am not sure if these are from "Low" but I tried to take the grand picture so they everyone can get an idea of how big the Garden is... the seating capacity for concerts is usually 20,000. So Chris was off list night by about 5,000 people.. lol

that does it...I'm sneaking back in tonight!

Oh btw one lil tidbit i forgot to mention, when my girlfriend went to make a phone call shortly before they took stage...she saw gwennie and her mom exit the elevator and walked into a room...and guess who opened the door?? yup..Chris...

those pics are amazing, thanks for sharing, berrywoman!! :)

still one and a half months left till oberhausen... and I neeeeed a ticket.
