sometimes i care a bit about fashion, but im not really into mini skirts and that crap. argh shopping's so tiring...

Fashion is harmless if you dont follow it religiously... Following trend is a bit stupid though, and shallow. I like to think I have my own sense of style. Isn't that itself fashion?

exactly; i like fashion and shopping and everything, but i don't buy the latest most fasionable clothes or whatever, to be fashionable. having your own sense of style is very important nowadays, maybe even more than following fashion and trends.

i always have problems to find clothes that fits me. my problem is that i must be taller not thinner. :dozey: (i'm 1.50 cms when most people as old as me are like 1.70).

 

but it don't worry me i know i'll always have this problem for all my life because i don't think i'll be as tall as people of my age in a few years people said me you can still be taller till you are 22 and if you don't smoke may be you can still can be taller till 24 but anyways time is running and i don't think i'll be that tall never so... :dozey:

 

but i don't go to clothes shop a lot, because i don't like most of their clothes design... i hope i can have a friend that will be a clothes designer so all my troubles will desapear lol...

 

anyways i like casual or a bit classic clothes, i like jackets and trousers with a lot of zips or pockets on it. :cool: or black or grey clothes, so i love coldplay on concerts, chris wears black jackets with a lof of zips and pockets on it. :rolleyes:

 

and i like a lot jackets and pirates trousers (i don't know if you call them like this there, people here call this trousers 'piratas' are short trousers.. i try to find a pic of this)... and jeans too. :)

Fashion has to do with the way way we think of the times we live. I've been thinking that being contemporary is not the same that being modern...

well fashions can change very soon so.. i don't follow them i prefer get my own style in all.. and is not easy.. because people use to asociate that if you like a think you must like another think asociated... you know what i mean...

it happened to me that i started fashions lol and people thought i was crazy... for example i used to eat soya on salad and see now all products seem have soya in it lol that's crazy...

 

what i meant on the previous post is like for example on music i like different styles, and some people can't believe how i can like all this different bands... that's 'cause people think that if you like a think is that's you follow others things related with it..

 

but you must be open mind if you like a thing it don't mean that you do all the related things with the thing you like it lol.

You always look / feel better when you have your own "fashion sense"

and people prefer someone original.

it definitely is better to have your own style. i know quite a lot people that follow the fashion and wear thighs "from the catwalk", and this, in combination with having no sense of your own style, can be a huuuuge mistake. :/

I like fashion. I'm friends with some fashion designers and i used to sew some of my own stuff. It's fun.

 

The negative side that everyone has referred to concerning influencing young girls to diet and so on is part of the industry and doesn't encompass what "fashion" is all about.

Skinnier girls= less material :idea2:
