October 28, 200619 yr Anyone heard of a new band called "Fotos"? I got a recommendation at Amazon, because it should sound similar to "Wir sind Helden". Laut.de gives 5 of 5 points... :stunned: http://www.laut.de/lautstark/cd-reviews/f/fotos/fotos/index.htm I guess I will listen to some of their songs in the near future. ;) Thursday I was shopping in Bremen (don't enter H&M by the way... you will always find something! :D) and I finally bought this album. I really like it and I think their music is a mixture between Bloc Party and Franz Ferdinand but in German! :D Here is the clip of their first single "Giganten" again... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix1NMV0ruZI

October 28, 200619 yr mmm.....I think it's ok....reminds me of Revolverheld somehow..:P Lol, what an unbounded cheek! :P:D Gnah, I don't get "Am Tag als Conny Kramer starb" out of my head now!
October 28, 200619 yr Author "Am Taaaaaaaag als onny Kramer starb und alle Glocken klangen....das war ein schwerer Tag...lalala":P was this right...?:uhoh:
October 28, 200619 yr Yeah! :D God, what a song... Hm, why the hell did "Guano Apes" split? I used to like them, especially the singer. My favourite song is still "Pretty In Scarlet". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79wnRSoNMfo One of their best performances... at MTV Winterjam 2003 although the beginning wasn't good actually! :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfBN8_fRGOk
October 28, 200619 yr Author They split? Oh that's a pity.....I also really like pretty and scarlet....and lords of the boards...
October 28, 200619 yr Yeah "Lords Of The Boards" and "Open Your Eyes" were also my favourites besides "Pretty In Scarlet". They also had a funny song called "Dödel Up". :D It's very sad that they quit...
October 29, 200619 yr Hey guys' date=' can someone recommend some cool music for me? Cheers[/quote'] listen to the Beatsteaks if you like punk-rock, dude! :)
October 30, 200619 yr Yesterday I went to the concert of Farin Urlaub who played two times in Bremen this weekend (the first one rapidly sold-out so he did an extra performance). And what can I say... It was absolutely amazing! :nice: One of the best concerts I've ever seen! Farin was sooo funny! He made a lot of jokes between the songs. After the second song a girl suddenly screamed: "Farin du geile Sau" and then he said "Hey das heißt: Farin du geile Fi..-Sau!" :D. The concert started at 8pm and I guess he played nearly 20 songs (2 1/2 hours), at least two of them were new. I didn't know these songs before. But of course he played other songs like "Dusche", "Petze", "Sonne", "Porzellan", "Glücklich" and "Ok". My favourite part was during "Phänomenal egal" when all people were raising their lighters. But the best scene was definitely during "Zehn". He played it twice and nearly everyone was jumping like a crazy bunny similar to the crowd in the official clip of "Zehn". I thought he would play some songs of "Die Ärzte" as well, but he didn't. His "Racing Team" was unbelievable... The women played the drums (sexy :wink3:) and guitar while the men played the trumpets and trombones. Farin also made a kind of advertising for the anti-nazi organisation, because next Saturday these bastards will demonstrate in Bremen in front of the main railway station. But one thing made me sooo angry... my shitty digi-cam didn't work again!!! :veryangry: Argh, only the first 3-4 pictures and videos were ok, but not the rest of it. I nearly destroyed the cam afterwards!!! But well... here's one of the pictures I could save but the quality isn't great, because it was too foggy. And finally a short clip of "Glücklich"... http://rapidshare.com/files/1312328/RMOV0006.AVI.html Bist du Fleischermeister? Studierst du Medizin? Bist du ein Zugereister? Oder kommst du aus Berlin? Bist du dominatrix oder doch eher devot? Bist du Pianistin oder Hubschrauberpilot? Es ist egal was du bist, Hauptsache ist, es macht dich glücklich Es ist egal was du bist, Hauptsache ist, es macht dich glücklich ... The official clip to "Zehn"... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8IeJKBMbeg
October 30, 200619 yr Author Sounds great Lars... although I prefer "Die Ärzte" as a band....;) Did he also play "Sumisu"? That's my favourite song by him.... Oh you can not really see much on the pic....lol...
October 30, 200619 yr Yeah, he also played "Sumisu". Before the song he asked the audience if we're listening to songs of "The Smiths", "The Cure" and "New Order", because these bands are mentioned in this song. Yeah, the pic is bad I know! :D I had very good ones at the end, but well, you already know the story with the cam... :(
October 30, 200619 yr Author "Und dann gingen wir nach Hause un dann hörten wir die Smtihs...manchmal auch The Cure oder new Order...aber größtenteils die Smiths..." ah I liiiike this song.... Oh those things suck so much....and they use to happen at events like that.....
October 30, 200619 yr Hehe, that's my favourite line of this song! :) But since yesterday I really adore "Unter Wasser". Amazing song, especially live! Yeah, I had exactly the same problems with the cam when I met Sarah and Felix in Bremen...
October 30, 200619 yr Author oh don't know that song.I think....oh but I also like "Glücklich" hehe....;) Oh now this is what I'd call bad luck then.....:(
October 30, 200619 yr ;) Glücklich was the first song I heard of him after starting his solo career. It was definitely the last time I took this cam to a gig or something like that!
October 30, 200619 yr Author Yeah it was the first song he released ,right? Well.....you better buy a "Wegwerfkamera" next time..:P
November 5, 200619 yr My favourite Farin Urlaub song for now is "Sonne" and "Augenblick". I think that are two of the greatest songs, he has ever written within his solo career. Great lyrics, as well. Whatever .. What about Die Happy? I quite like their new song "Wanna Be Your Girl". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWXdWSdGPX0 (How do you make those YouTube videos appear as a MediaPlayer here in the forum?)
November 5, 200619 yr Yeah Julia, "Glücklich" was the first song of Farin. I agree, "Sonne" is absolutely amazing! :nice: Here's the video of it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI3B0EnbM8o (You make those YouTube videos appear as a MediaPlayer by clicking the big blue "M" above this message editor. If you don't see this "M", then you have to change your "Message Editor Interface" by editing the options. I have chosen the "Enhanced Interface".) At the moment I'm also more into "Apocalypse wann anders". "Wir sitzen hier im Garten und wir warten auf den Weltuntergang" :nice: I knew a few songs of Die Happy (they're from Ulm, right?) but I'm not a big fan of them yet. But I like the new one you posted above though. :) Thanks for it! "Wir sitzen hier im Garten und wir warten auf den Weltuntergang!"
November 5, 200619 yr I know some German bands :) Like wir sind helden, die prinzen (absolutely great ! ) Rammstein, Kraftwerk, Guano apes, Seeed, Die toten hosen, and Tokio hotel.. :stunned:
November 6, 200619 yr I know some German bands :) Like wir sind helden, die prinzen (absolutely great ! ) Rammstein, Kraftwerk, Guano apes, Seeed, Die toten hosen, and Tokio hotel.. :stunned: I'm sorry that you got introduced to Tokio Hotel. Most germans abvoe a specific age are ashamed of having them to appear international as a german act. Sorry. The others you mentioned are typical german mainstream. @Larry: Thanks, I give it a test: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWXdWSdGPX0 And I'm not a fan, too. But I like this. Don't know if they are from Ulm. Maybe. ^^
