dont worry everyone (like u were :rolleyes: ) its all good, i have standing tickets. they just said that for "ticketing purposes"... god they just cost me a couple of years of my life from stress! lol i dont think dad wants anything to do with buying tickets from me anymore :lol:

I'm Adam and I'm 16 and I'm here in Melbourne. Me and my mate got Gold GA tix for the Melbourne concert (through the pre-sale). Argh! Are they standing, cause we called Ticketek and they said they were, but...i just don't trust them

 

Who else is coming to the Melbourne concert? and who else is ridiculously excited :stunned: :)

general admission = standing. so if you get tickets that say GA on them, then dont worry you are standing.

3rd shows announced for Sydney and Melbourne, and the 2nd Brisbane show has been confirmed by the promoters. Tickets go on sale next Tuesday.

The thing for me is, why didn't they just plan for at least two shows in places such as Sydney and Melbourne? For sure they should know it'd be sold out given how popular this tour has been in the US since their album came out and how well received they were the last time they went to Australia... I mean come on, I live half a world away from both these places and I could've told them that :lol: I'm just a bit angry that they caused such a scramble for tix and stressed out so many fans :angry: But I am happy that at least all the people here so far have managed to get the tix they wanted :)

 

As for me, Jess831 with some luck I'll hopefully be going to the Brisbane 23/06 date GA-standing tix yoohoo!!! Thanks to a fellow fan... Coldplay fans are so nice!!! :D

they did plan for more shows. the first show sold out in like 8 minutes, so they added a second one about 30 minutes later. now they are adding a third one. so they were prepared to some extent, but i dont think they thought it would be this huge.

^ What I meant was, why didn't they just announce it straightaway that there'd be two shows... Instead of creating all this chaos when they initially only announced the first ones... I understand they want a frenzy... But I think it's not a nice thing to do to your own fans (that is assuming Coldplay/management had any say in the marketing decisions)... Still I think they should have put their foot down, or am I asking too much from them?

hmm nah i get what you mean, but at the same time i guess they wanted to sus out how popular it was. the show was always gonna be a sell out, but how quick is a different story. obviously 8minutes = 2nd show.
