i have a notice from australia post to pick it up cuz i did it thru registered post. so i have it, but i its at the post office.

I wanted a gold ticket, but two or so hours after they went on sale, all of them were sold out for both shows. A third Melbourne show seems to have been added though, tickets on sale soon, so I'll try again...

Wooo!! I got tickets yesturday through presale!! They're gold floor tickets to the third concert in Sydney. I'M SO HAPPY NOW!!!

There's one thing i'm worried about though-apparently when you're on the floor you're sharing it with about 2,000 other people, so common sense says you'd have to get there early to get a good spot near the stage-but do any of you guys know how this floor thingo works? Cos i've never been to Sydney entertainment centre before and i've never been floor standing in a concert-so can you like walk wherever you want or are there certain sections your limited to or what? Please excuse my lack of knowledge so if I look like an idiot i have an excuse!! Lol!

^ ive been there but its been a long time since. the floor i think is fairly big, and its just a big space where everyone can go, then seats. i thyink thats it...

the standing floor area means that it's first in best dressed. first there = closest to stage. once you're in, you go in there and stand towards the front as much as you can. :cool:

There's still tickets for all sections in the 2nd Brisbane show that went onsale today.

ai and bonnie, youth group are an aussie band. the bassist pattrick matthews is the bassist from the vines. youth group are actually an awesome band, debs signed them to the label last year or so (that's what she said on the site) and apparently the band requested them too. you'd love their stuff it's excellent and i'm happy they're the support band for the cp concerts.

 

Wow... that's certainly going for them. But Bonnie, I didn't know that the Vines were no more :o Have they broken up or something?

The first two Melbourne shows are completely sold out at Ticketek. Tickets for the third go on sale this Friday. I have a silver ticket for the second one, but I'm going to try and get a gold for the third. I went to the Bolton (England) gig on July 4th and loved it so much that I tried to get tickets to the next day show in Bolton, but all of them were sold out. BTW here are my pics from that show:

Yes, I was at the Reebok during a trip back home to England. It was one of the best afternoons of my life, so good that I am already heartachingly nostalgic for it. They did film Fix You there (and the day after, I still haven't figured out which of the two are used in the video), and in fact did the song twice. I was on the floor for the encore when they did it twice, and the euphoria is like nothing I've ever felt/seen. Kids, adults, old people, dancing, crying, hugging people they've never met... Coldplay's music has this sort of effect in the flesh. I doubt the Melbourne gig next year will be able to live up to it, but it should be great anyway.

ai, on the official vines website, it says that the vines are still together and that they're working in the studio for their 3rd album and everything! but like people are saying that the vines have broken up... i don't know what to believe and i hope to god they're still together because they're an ace band. :cool:

Wow that sounds so AWESOME!! I so can't wait to go! But we're gonna have to wait till next June!! :o I'm going to die of excitement, lol! I hope we get that vibe at the Sydney concert! I'm sure I will-cos it'll be my first Coldplay concert, YAYZ!!

Ok-just a few more annoying questions:

If you bring a bag or buy merchandise while your there b4 the concert do you have to hold onto it while your dancing and stuff on the floor? Or is there like a certain place you can chuck it? Any tips would be greash! Thankies!

^It's best to take in as little as possible and to be holding as little as possible during the concert.

If you can get away without taking a jacket, then do so - otherwise take something "light" you can tie around your waist.

Try not to worry too much about "merchandise". Get your place first, and then, if you're going with somebody, take it in turns to go to the merchandise outlet so your places are saved.

That's my advice!

omg im a member of the triple m freq club, and on the site they can sell some things according to the points u have. they have a double pass for coldplay selling for 100,000 points, yet the greenday tickets cost 28,000 points! that shows how huge coldplay is!

Yes, but cloakrooms tend to have huge queues afterwards, so best to avoid them if possible...............................

i usually take my trusty really floppy jeans with lots of pockets and a jacket with even more pockets ;)
