November 17, 200520 yr Should be studio. If it were live they would've specified from where just like they did with Pour Me, no?
November 17, 200520 yr Author ya i guess so - it is going to sound SOOOO GOOOD - i hope it's remeniscent of The Scientist or Amsterdam - NO SYNTHS FOR GRAVITY!!!
November 19, 200520 yr but what are they gonna do with the song's rights? didn't it belong to Embrace now???
November 19, 200520 yr But it's still Coldplay's song.. Chris wrote it so he has the copyright for it...
November 19, 200520 yr no I heard from an official source that it was a studio version, but I'm bummed out because it's only on the DVD and then I can't get it into my itunes! I love that song!
November 19, 200520 yr I can't for the life of me remember where I heard it, I can't find it again, and it was awhile ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy... but anyway, I remember hearing an interview with Danny McNamara from Embrace, where he talked about how Coldplay had actually done a studio recording of Gravity with some string arrangements(?!), way back before they ever gave the song to Embrace. If I remembered that right, maybe that old recording is the version that's going on the dvd. Anyway, if anyone else remembers hearing whatever the hooey I'm talking about, I would be glad to know where it is, and that I'm not loosing my mind... :uneasy:
November 19, 200520 yr Author i am sure someone will be kind enough to rip the audio from the dvd into mp3 format. anyone with a cd burner and a free program can do it. i'm glad to hear it's a studio version since we already have an incredible live version.
November 19, 200520 yr Gravity is a very good song, maybe not the best, but I do agree, it is definitely up there.
November 22, 200520 yr I am SO GLAD that they're releasing it officially. I can't stand hearing the Embrace version. It has no soul... Thanks Coldplay!!
