X&Y was disappointing for some people because they had such high hopes after AROBTTH and were thinking it could be the best album ever ... of course Coldplay are capable of something that good but X&Y is not a shot at a masterpiece ... its more of an experiment with some new sounds etc. its still a very good album in my view but Coldplay are definitely capable of better :D
