The person who updates the journal on the Coldplayer often mentions what it's like to be a Coldplay roadie. ;)

I think he's a video technician. But all the things I've heard about Coldplay's tour crew is that they're absolutly hilarious and 100% loyal to the band and it's all a very tight-knit group. I've heard that in Rolling Stone and in the tour journals at coldplay.com.

I've heard of one who's called 'Hoppy', I think he is Chris' roadie if I remember correctly. There's a funny story concerning him when the whole tour group tried to enter Canada via the US. It seems customs / immigration were suspicious he might be bringing in weed or something coz he had a pack of cigarettes and detained them at the border for three hours to conduct a thorough search, whereas a guy carrying a gun was allowed to stroll through :lol: And last I heard, Jonny's roadie is a friend from way back... Mike or something. :) This was all way back in their Parachutes & AROBTTH tours, dunno whether they're still the same ones ;)

 

I got my info from one of the biographies "Look At The Stars". I think it's unofficial but all the info's pretty accurate. And yes, the roadies are a hilarious group and the band are pretty alright with them expressing their opinions e.g. when performances are somewhat off :P

Yeah I wouldn't mind travelling around with the boys....Im sure I'd never get tired of Chris's jokes, I love his sense of humour!!!!
