I haven't seen the "Talk" video anywhere!!! Is it on TV in the United States or not? :huh:

Hey i saw it on this new Gay channel.. I forget what it's called but it's on digital cable. Awesome music they played within only 30 mins!!

I've only seen it on the Coldplayer. :rolleyes: I wish they'd actually play it on TV more. All I ever see is Fix You.

You've seen Fix You? :stunned: I've barely even seen that one either. The only one MTV played like once every hour was Speed of Sound. It was quite nice..

I've seen SoS on TV, too, but I haven't seen that in a long time. Recently it's been Fix You, which is... boring... compared to Talk.

Seen it a few times actually. Not on the gay channel though ( which is LOGO right?)

I have been very unimpressed with MTV's support for X&Y. I have never seen Talk on the air and have only seen Fix You 1 time since it's release in August. Without Coldplayer and these forums, I would never see Coldplay videos!!! Thanks to all of those who take the time to post videos for us here in the States.

it seems to me that Coldplay doesnt seem to get as much airplay here in north america as they deserve. Take a look at the song Fix You, awesome track, yet it didnt catch on at all here (at least in Canada). :huh: I think i heard fix you once on the radio.

They play Fix You a lot over here. I heard Talk for the first time on my station last night. They mutilated it.

I KNOW! They totally cut off that part.

Coldplay I think is very very much played and that in the US. I've seen about 10 different specials on them, so I'm not too sure what you lot are talking about.

I dunno. All the specials I always see over here are "Paris Hilton's Most Shocking Moments" and "The Fabulous Life of... Britney Spears." People with regular cable had Live Leak, Storytellers, and Austin City Limits as far as Coldplay goes. And when they play music videos for "new" music, I see old 50 Cent and Green Day videos... so...

i dont watch tv that much but whenever i do i usually flip through the mtv or vh1 channels and i have never seen Talk on.

mtv literally only plays rap and hip hop...how do those people get record deals? i'm actually embarrassed for them while watching the videos. anyone heard the song laffy taffy? whoever did that should be shot. :rolleyes:

 

for as many sold out shows they do here and for as many albums that they sell they get very little support by radio and music channels. vh1, granted, did do a storytellers with them which was nice...but otherwise, mtv especially, gives them little to no airplay.

 

i think its the demographic...mtv is usually watched by early to mid teens, while coldplay appeals more to those in their 20's and 30's. i was shocked about how little there were of people my age (17) at their concerts. whenever there is a popular band at the local venue (PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ), tons of students from my school go, i mean at least 25% of the school. but when coldplay was there i didnt see anyone and had to drag my friend along with me. it was mainly adults.

MTV2 at one time played decent videos, but now it all rap crap too. I'm tellin ya, if Chrissy would just get a diamond grill, da Coldplayz would be on 24/7.

MTV airs pussy cat whatever and james *beautiful* blunt. but as for fix you it has been non stop on german mtv while it was actual on charts but now..talk goes maybe once or twice a day,much less than for fix you. but the thing i don't get is as talk being a vid with cute story, well production and everything that a good vid should have for a change and yet again they still prefer naked woman jumpin and licking..oh come on.. :angry:

I hate U.S. television. You all are so right. I am so SICK of seeing "The Fabulous Life of...", "Cribs", "All Access: Celebrity Spending 2005", "Surreal Life", "Room Raiders", "NEXT", and every other stupid show devoted to celebrities or idiotic young people who will do ANYTHING to be on TV.

 

I really was excited to see the "Talk" video. And now... :/
