black Coldplay fan

 

Hi I am a black 19 years old Coldplay fan.

Interesting topic. Most of the people I know who like Coldplay are black, and I live in a pretty white area.:)

I'm white, but I actually know quite a few black people who like Coldplay or at least some of their songs. On another note, I was at a Coldplay concert last summer where Coldplay was doing some songs for jimmy kimmel and when he was on stage he was said something like, "wow. There are so many white people here." true story

Whenever I tell people I like Coldplay I get these weird looks, its like I'm supposed to be listening to rap or Hip-Hop instead.

Apparently rock is still considered "white music", which really annoys me since rap/Hip-hop is listened by almost all cultures.

Haha this thread is for me! I'm a black guy and Coldplay are my boys, I'm talking every single, every B-Side, every album! I rock hardcore with them. They're my favorite band of all-time out of ALL genres. But I do mainly listen to Hip-Hop and R&B.

i dunno what color i am . I am of indian origin, but my dad's really fair and my mum is dark! I am kinds mixed! Who cares..I LOVE COLDPLAY!

Yes who does care!! I wished music wasn't tied to a particular colour.

Coldplay music is universal, goes straight to the heart. It's true that at the ATL gig last September, my 2 teenage sons, 1 young man, and myself were the only people of color I saw.
