Have you ever watched a film and thought you knew exactly where it was heading, and then a major plot twist is revealed that you didn't see coming?

 

Here are 3 plot twists that took me completely by surprise:

 

1. Darth Vader tells Luke he is his father - The Empire Strikes Back

 

2. Tom Farrell (Kevin Costner) is in fact the not so fictitious Russian spy Yuri who doesn't really exist - No Way Out

 

3. The disabled Verbal Kint (Kevin Spacey) is actually the not so disabled crime lord Keyser Soze - The Usual Suspects

The plot twist in "A Beautiful Mind" (Russell Crowe) is excellent. You just don't see it coming (in fact, there's also a sub-twist which makes you think again)!! :cool:

A Beautiful Mind definitely did not see that one coming. Memento had a ton of confusing plot twists. I can't think of any others.

Saw, and Saw 2 were pretty crazy as well. A little farfetched, but great. I also liked the twist in "The village." A lot of people hate that movie, but I thought it was great.

The End of the movie Doom. I didn't understand what really happened. The good guy become the evil guy and a secondary character became the hero in the last 5 min... what the...

Without ruining it for people who haven't seen it. There is a very clever twist with regards to Arnold Scwarzenegger's character in the film Total Recall.

Agree with The Fight Club one.
