Also, I'm thoroughly bloody sick of all the kasabian snobs on tumblr, they're doing my head in - they're all so fuckin superior cos they've seen them, like 40 000 times, have every single seven times over on vinyl and ooh yeah, shock horror they even know the names of all the band members, not just Tom and Serge, oh no they even know the name of the guy that plays trumpet, cos they're proper fans after all... Fuckers. :snobby: Sorry, just needed a little moan about it ....

Any Singaporean Kasabian fans here? Heard that they'll be performing on the 8th of Jan @ Fort Canning.

 

I'll be back in S'pore for holiday but leaving 4 days earlier! Grrr! Might try to change my flight for it. This is one concert I MUST see. :D

 

i'm from Malaysia...which is near enough to Singapore (which i did live & work in for a while). i'm not going as i'm now based in UK, but i think my sis is going. we 1st saw them live in Malaysia headlining the MTV World Stage...tho i think the M'sian crowd kinda scared the lads off. Serge wrote a rather weird & kinda sarcastic comment in the West Ryder tour programme about the experience from that gig. :dozey:

 

i wouldn't blame him, tbh...most of the crowd were actually there for the band just before them (The All-American Rejects). :rolleyes: i love AAR too, but i feel for Kasabian...must've been awkward!

and ugh really i think most musicians would get along better than we all think if hanging around. the papers make everything sound 10x bitchier than it really is (i know im not saying anything new but yeah :P)

What are the best ways to get into Kasabian? :)

 

I like some of their songs but I don't know much about them.

I heard "Fire" on BBC Radio 1 one day, then ordered "West..." without thinking much about it. :)

Pretty quickly after that I ordered "Kasabian", then went to see them live in Cologne.

Can't really give you advice, both of these albums are great though! :-D

I'll be in Washington when they play there, but sadly I already bought tickets for Noel Gallagher so I don't have money to see them :( At least i'm seeing Noel!

Wait!! The tickets only cost $22?? :O I really want to go now!! But I don't have anyone that would like to go with me!

Yeah I know!! I really want to go, I listen to them since 3 years ago and I can't see a better chance in the future to see them! But I have to convince my parents to let me go to a concert in a city that I don't know on my own :\ My father already told me that I could go, but my mother won't let me :cry: I'll try to convince her today!

Yup, I don't have any friends in the US who like or really know about Kasabian and I don't mind going to shows alone. Sometimes I'll make friends at gigs anyway. Don't let other people determine whether or not you go! Besides then I can fly my freak flag without being judged :lol:
