I didn't see the show (i had a lecture), but from what my friend told me, taylor put on a good show and he could very well win this thing. GO TAYLOR!!!

Taylor NEEDS to win! He's the only contestant other than Bo or PERHAPS Chris who has actual music artist credibility. I can see him becoming a real player in the industry. We have too many Katherines. She might be pretty and easy on the eyes, but NO THANKS.

Yeah those singles were pretty awful, but I agree that Taylor managed to make his sound decent. Do they get to pick their first single, or what?

Kat totally sucked with that last song... the only good jam she had was "Over the Rainbow" which, btw.. did anyone notice she performed it the exact same way as she did last week.. down to the arm movements and all!!! i agree. it's annoying how they keep saying that katherine is the next kelly clarkson...why do we need another kelly clarkson? if katherine wins, it's just producing a copy cat of a previous idol! what's the point in that? if she wins, it just proves that the voters went with the safe choice. no one is like taylor....he's original and that's why he should win. i hate how some people say that taylor doesn't have the "look" of an idol, yet we continuously criticize many of today's music artists for not having any talent.... he's an amazing singer and he's freakin' entertaining as hell!! and he seems like the nicest guy too.

I ordinarily like MJB. Though, I didn't really like her performance last night. I generally don't like her cover, but I think it's b/c I really really like the U2 version that any other version just seems wrong to me. Although, Johnny Cash's version of One is actually not that bad and I like it.

 

Elliott was so good last night. I kinda have a crush on Elliott, to be honest with you. His voice is just too good. And last night, he was totally relegated to "backing" MJB b/c she gets so crazy when she performs, but still, a good job.

 

Meatloaf and Katherine was kinda frightening...like a lot. Ridiculous. haha. I must admit that I did laugh a lot when Clay was singing with his Clay lookalike. That was hilarious! That guy was so excited!

Johnny Cash's version of 'One' is AMAZING. He does the song absolute justice, it's gorgeous.
