Did you have a typical puberty?

Featured Replies

I would say I wasn't.......I was never against my parents.......and I was not somebody who NEEDED a boyfriend to be cool or whatever......I always tried to insist my own opinion.....I was in my real puberty when I was a boyband fan.....but this were only 1 and a half year.......but I didn't have a typical puberty....is this strange? What about you?

Erm, I think I was basically normal. I wasn't a TOTAL bitch to my parents, but we did have some random difficulties. I was pretty into my boybands and Britney Spears (  :embarrased: ). And I crushed on nearly every boy in my school

Holy shit, thank god that's all behind me!

I remember the boybands I love 'cos of one of their members...aahhhh

I had a normal puberty. But the truth is I have never had any problems with my parents, drugs, alcohol.....I was simply innocent girl :D

And boyfriends - I agree with you Julia

And I'm still so "normal", my parents can be happy and proud of their "normal" daughter, I guess

I dont think there is a 'typical puberty', everyone is different! :smug:

Well...........I think there is "typical puberty".............you can see many facts which make a typical puberty and I think many teenagers fit in this category!

hhmmmmmm.....What do you mean, Julia?

Ok, so there is some common traits to puberty but.....

I think everyone reacts differently dering their teenage years.

Please do not take this wrong, but you are all to young to appreciate what happens during the teen years, you only come to understand them when you become much older then you look back and laugh like hell! I am not down playing what you may be going through, it is a very tough time, figuring out who you are what you want to be, but I am 40 and I still am not sure of these things. If there was such a thing as normal who would be the person that would be qualified to define NORMAL. Enjoy who you and screw what the media defines as normal, who are they to say. And the other thing is if we were all"NORMAL" what ever that may be, it sure would be a boring world.......................

i don't think i fit in the regular teen category, i don't have a particular style that i started using to be popular or anything like that. I like the music i like, watch stuff on tv that i wanna watch and nobody changes how I am

well, I didn't have typical puberty... I didn't fight with my parents or anything, I've always behaved well so they didn't have to shout to me... I regret I didn't have the courage to really be myself... I just didn't want to feel so different from the others... stupid... I know...

i agree...

I barely noticed my puberty...

I don't know how I feel about that. :stunned:

Puberty eeeeyy???? what a fucking waste of time!!!! i was depressed all the stupid time

The only thin i've really noticed is that i'm always alone :/ meaning i like to be alone.

I think there is a typical puberty. It involves the generic basic idea of:

-Being miserable and hating your parents despite them trying to help

-Desperately wanting to love anyone (Not unlike most members of the forum)

-Liking trends and fashionable things, which is natural as you havent grown fully enough as a person to find your own favourite things

As for me, did mine even happen? :stunned:

Hahaha no I mean, physically it did, but emotionally, I'm the exact same as an adult now as I was when I was 13/14.

The only trait I could see in myself was delibrately liking things that were un-popular, to make me feel more original. Of course, this is truely as fashionable as liking popular things, as you are still influenced by others.

That is all though, I mainly found my own way through it.

I like hanging out with my friends, but sometimes I just don't wanna do certain stuff with them so I stay home watching TV or listening to music, and I totally enjoy it

They were supposed to help?!

When I went thru puberty, I was the clumsiest creature ever!

I hated everything everyone else liked, and I disliked pretty much everyone who followed trends...

I never had a boyfriend, cuz I didnt wanna end up like those other couples who broke up after a few weeks of frolicking around, but yeah, I was definitley boy-crazy for a year...

Ugh.

define typical.......

I'd like to think it was :laugh3: but who am I to judge... *shrugs*

I don't smoke, drink and get very high grades and i'm not crazy for boys

and...I often argue with my mother cos I do nothing right :(

am I going trough typical puberty?

I tried to rebel against my parents, but I couldn't cuz they're too nice.

I've always liked girls, never had that "girls are evil" stage when I was younger...
