Is it just me or does it appear that everyone wants to be famous?

 

I'll be honest, I may be super badass, but I'd love to be famous, and I think most people would.

 

You get these people (Like a good friend of mine) who like to pretend that they hate Tom Cruise and they hate fame, yet once they get their face on television or in a newspaper they go a little bit nuts.

 

I dont want to be shallow about it, but it seems like an easier way of life, being instantly liked by most people for not even doing anything. Craig Charles (From Red Dwarf, Robot Wars, Coronation Street, *TAKESHIS CASTLE**!!!) said on a program where he had to dress up as a man with burns on his face, acknowledged how weird it is being without fame. He said that he's used to being recognised and liked everywhere he goes, and usually finds himself not even having to pay for meals or clothes because he's a promotional tool just by being in the shop.

 

But of course, then comes the downside, who can you really trust?

 

This would really, really upset me, especially when it comes to girls and love in that aspect. I have to 100% trust someone I fall in love with and I dont think I could ever do that if I met a girl who really embraced me being famous, y'know. I think I'd have to find a wonderful girl who likes me despite me being famous, and that would be a rare thing.

I wouldn't mind being famous, but I wouldn't want everyone to know me and have my face plastered everywhere. If I was in a band, maybe it would be different though. I wouldn't be whored constantly by the press...and maybe I might meet one of the editors of NME and give them a good punch :D

But I doubt I could stand being in the press and such, it would just be too much preasure and the sotrys get twisted way too much
