Well, here in Brazil u can smoke almost everywhere... except airports, and gas stations and stuff. But most restaurants have smoking and non-smoking areas, and you can smoke in all bars and clubs. I'm a non smoker, but i dont particularly mind (maybe coz my parents have been smokers their whole lives).

I dont like to come home smelling like cigarrets everytime i go clubbing, but i guess thres nothin i can do. I Just dont think it whould be allowed smoking in places that it could cause a hazzard, like really small clubs, that dont have enough emergency exits.

Well it's different for someone who doesn't smoke and never has.

 

I don't have a problem with smoking in pubs...just places where you eat.

I hope smoking is made illegal for many reasons and maybe they replace it with legalizing weed. ... not because I want to smoke weed but because people are going to smoke something if they can just because people depend on drugs. It's really pathetic to me that people smoke cigarrettes.

 

The only thing that's dumber to me is chewing tobacco. smoking is clearly bad for you and doesn't really make you feel that good, but I know why people do it as opposed to smoking weed.. because it's legal... and chewing tobacco is much worse because so many people die of throat cancer and lose their jaws, etc... it's the most disguisting common way to die in my opinion.

 

All these college students that smoke are making a very horrible decision in my useless opinion.

^Exactly the same here, I hate it! :angry: Smokers have actively decided to smoke, they made that choice, and I dont care if they want to damage their health or whatever, that's totally up to them....however I think it's wrong that people like me don't have a choice when it comes to coming home stinking of smoke. :dozey:

 

My older sister has a heart and lung condition and can barely go out anywhere with her friends because the smoke effects her badly....she shouldn't have to be restricted further than she already is because of people's choice to smoke.

 

A smoking ban in all work places and enclosed public places starts in April 2007 in the UK. Bring it on I say!

We have the smoking ban thank god! I don't mind people smoking around me..heck I used to smoke! But now if I'm in a different country, it's just so odd to see people smoking in shops and pubs!
