Well, based on the cities who have gotten two concerts so far, they have done something a little different each night. Examples: one night, they play SITS, the next, The Hardest Part. Given the fact that The Hardest Part is going to be a single soon, I'd bet that they might elect to use that presentation on the encore on the DVD. Also, while many are already chalking "How You See The World" up as the next "Moses," don't forget, during those shows, they also added One I Love and See You Soon. Given the fact that they have already have 18 songs in the set, I'd only expect one b-side added (if that), and it would probably be something new like Proof or Pour Me, two songs they know have gone over well with the diehards. I mean I personally wish that they would add the nice suprise of playing the original version of Talk instead of the one we all know, because not only would it add a nice touch, but for the fans who haven't heard it (the majority), it would give them something new, and they could hear what could have been if the world wasn't so accessible to internet leaking these days.

**IF ANYBODY CONNECTED WITH COLDPLAY WAS TO READ THAT**

-Open with a good old SQUARE ONE and A big Chris jump

-Add a B-SIDE (u did it on dvd one)

-Play THE HARDEST PART (as the next single it will played haha damn you hardespart haters..)

-Chris : maximum talking, jokes , and moves

-F**cking play HOW YOU SEE THE WORLD (version2's better)!!! (its your lost gem) :D

-Play until one member of the band faints..

-End the gig with a great FIX YOU (and of course not with LIFE IS A LIVING, People wake up! they have to move on! wanna see this song as an ending ? WATCH dvd 1)

-Add the LONGEST documentary possible (tour diary,interviews...),, so just FILM EVERYTHING!

(nobody cares about photos, tour dates, weblinks and all that shit...we want the film)

---Final point : CHRIS THIS IS FOR YOU: Stagedive if u got some ... YOU can do it (if u cant, just walk around the venue, climb something WHATEVER)

I couldn't agree more.. except for the fainting part  but they should play at least 20 songs.. they original setlist plus low, twisted logic, sleeping sun and gravity

i'd be happy if they keep in Swallowed in the Sea. That song is amazing in concert.

Realistically, they are going to play all their singles from X&Y (Speed of Sound, Fix You, Talk and Hardest Part). I don't think we really need to debate the Hardest Part thing too much ...

Also, a defining feature of this tour so far has been the "country corner" or whatever you want to call it, where they gather in their huddle on the stage for the acoustic set. The whole inspiration for this was Til Kingdom Come, and they like playing Ring of Fire, as it is an obvious and fun segue from Til Kingdom Come. So we can expect both of those.

The rest of the acoustic set is a bit up in the air. I think we might see some changes here (it won't be a passed b-side like See You Soon, it will definitely be either Trouble, Green Eyes, Warning Sign, Sparks or We Never Change).

Songs that will be played for sure: Square One. Politik as the intro - they love it. Obviously Yellow, GPASUYF, White Shadows, Scientist, Clocks, and those others that I think everyone knows will be in the set.

I'm fairly confident they'll play X&Y, because it's the title track, and it is the tour supporting the album X&Y ...

In My place and Fix You will close the encore, again as everyone expects.

How You See The World will probably be played, but I have a feeling that it won't be the live single. It's already been a bonus track, and been on the War Child CD, so I don't think that based on how they've done things in the past, they'll have it be the single.

In that case, what will the live single be? It won't be Pour Me, they already have that as a bside, it won't be Proof, they've played it on the AROBTTH tour.

I think whatever it is, we will start to hear it in the next few gigs leading up to toronto. If we don't get anything new in the next little bit, I guess its How You See The World!

i know i'll get a lot of shite for this but i definitely prefer Low or Daylight or Amsterdam or A message instead of How you see the world, that song just doesn't work for me i dunno why !! plus i don't think they'll play Ring of fire since that's not a coldplay song and this is a coldplay dvd

In My Place

Fix You

no way.. spies- guy won't play it, see you soon- already taped for live 2003, same thing goes for shiver. as for sleeping sun- i think that that song is impossible to do live.

you know what may show up, cus Debs mentioned they rehearsed it few months ago---- Such a rush. (as an oldie) ----

2nd outro as in 2nd encore? Cos if that's the case, there won't be one. On the AROBTTH tour, they played their set and then would go on and do a 2nd encore (Lips Like Sugar, Life Is For Living, etc.). They didn't do that on this tour. The last song of the entire show is Fix You. This set is much more...umm...sturdy than the last tour. ALOT changed from show-to-show last time. This time, it's very routine.

Dave

well..there wasn't many 2nd encores on AROBTTH tour. they were in 2001 mainly.

I dont think there will be any big changes for the dvd...

So here's my guess of setlist:

Square One

Politik

Yellow

Speed of Sound

God Put a Smile Upon Your Face

X&Y

How You See the World

Don't Panic

White Shadows

The Scientist

'Til Kingdom Come (acustic)

Ring of Fire (acustic)

Trouble (acustic)

Clocks

Talk

-----

Swallowed in the Sea

In My Place

Fix You

^agreed. ;)

I think it's only logical to keep that setlist.

but I guess they'll have the hardest part somewhere in there, because it's the new single. but I so hope they'll nevertheless keep swallowed in the sea...

you what i don't get..is coldplay allowed to put someone elses song on official issue (ring of fire)...it's been a huge :?:

^I think they'd just need a permission and then it's possible.

I would love the setlist to be something like this:

Square One

Politik

Yellow

Speed Of Sound

Trouble

X&Y

Amsterdam

White Shadows

The Scientist

Acoustic set:

Til Kingdom Come

Green Eyes

Sparks

Clocks

Gravity

The Hardest Part

Talk

Encore:

Shiver

What If

In My Place

Fix You

It'd be a little longer than the usual set, but -except for Gravity- all the songs have been played on the tour.

I think they definitely should start out with Square 1, Politik and Yellow, and I'm sure they will.

Speed of Sound isn't my fav, but since it was their 1st single of the album and a big hit, they HAVE to play it.

Then I think they should take out Trouble of the acoustic set; even though it's nice to see that they now play it on a regular basis, they should play the "classic" version because it's much better in my opinion. ...and maybe they could leave out GPASUYF instead, even though I highly doubt it because it's always been played on the tour.

X&Y should also be included because it's the title track of the album and it's also a lot better than Low. I think most people would agree with me on that.

Amsterdam is one of the fans' favorites and I think it shouldn't be missing on the set. I think it was always well received on the tour.

I don't think I need to say much about White Shadows, The Scientist and Clocks - they all have to stay where they are in the set.

In the acoustic set, they have to include Til Kingdom Come, but I would also love to see Green Eyes instead of Trouble or Don't Panic as well as Sparks. They played it a couple of times in 2005, for example in LA and Hamburg, and it's one of the songs that should have already been on the 2003 DVD, so now it'd be a good time to make it up.

Instead of playing HYSTW2, it's be a great surprise to hear Gravity live because I think it's highly anticipated by a lot of fans to hear a live full-band version of the song. It would probably be a big surprise if they played it after Clocks.

They will also probably play The Hardest Part because it's going to be their next single. I personally would rather see Swallowed in the Sea here, but if they include THP, they should leave out Swallowed in the Sea and play What If instead. It's such a beautiful song and they've played so little unfortunately. When they first played it, Chris kept introducing it as the best song they ever wrote so it'd be a huge shame if they left it out. So PLEASE include it - now matter where you put it!!!! :)

Talk also has to be played to get some energy going - no doubt.

I think it'd be also very interesting to see them start the encore with Shiver. They did it twice during the tour and I think on both occasions, the crowd just went nuts. So that'd be really nice to mix up things a little bit.

And of course, they have to end everything with In My Place and Fix You, that's for sure! :) Hopefully, they will let the crowd do a lot of the singing!

So that would be the perfect setlist of this tour although I don't think it will happen. ;) It'd be awesome to hear What If and the "classic" version of Trouble - as long as they do that, I'll be happy. :)

^I think they'd just need a permission and then it's possible.

but you know what..i somehow don't see it.. i bet they're gonna play Green eyes instead cus they didn't do it for the last DVD

yeah, maybe, but ring of fire has been on so MANY setlists...

the setlist won't be any longer than 18 songs and a lot of people would like to see chris play 3-4 songs on the piano one after the other but that won't happen. songs like amsterdam, gravity are songs that are meant for closing out a show rather than sticking them in the middle of the list. tempo is a big thing with the band. cant have anything too slow for too many songs. i really hope they substitute songs out for the dvd though. x&y, how you see the world and don't panic are blocking some real quality songs that'd liven the show up. low? a new song perhaps like moses was? what if is one of the strongest songs on the album, same with a message.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE what if and like everyone else, it makes me a lil peeved because they never play it. i really enjoy that one and hope that they put it on the DVD even though there is lil chance of that happening.... and i like how you see the world, i think lyrically its really good, especially right now in this time. as for the stuff that was from the previous dvd, its hard because you wanna see all the new stuff from X&Y but their old stuff is just a teensy bit better.... but heres hoping for what if, a message, and swallowed in the sea... those are the standout tracks, and what if and message almost NEVER get played....

sorry thats my rant :-)
