hmmmm that sucks. Is your youth minister a priest?? This isn't Catholicism, right??

I feel for you... seriously. That sucks... I mean you went to him in confidence..... you've admitted to him you made a bad choice.. and asked for guidance... and he's telling on you... pfft! Don't hate on all Christians.. because its not fair... but, I can see how this little situation has made you feel this way.

sorrydude.

I'm a Catholic.... but I don't share the same ideology as most Caths these days.... I also don't believe in everything the bible says.. nor all those man made rules the church created.... I believe in God.. and in Jesus.. and how he died for our sins.. yadda yadda yadda... I don't go to church every Sunday... I go when I get the 'calling', however I do pray everynight and every morning.

:)

totally agree.... because all these man made rules..... I am sure thats not what Christ had in mind for the church lol

Couldnt agree more.

I'm a Christian and everything and I have lots of awesome Christian friends, the nicest people I know. But also there are so many Christians that are over judgemental or twist the scriptures which can be a real turnoff.

I find it strange that your youth pastor won't keep it confidential and is going to go to your parents.

Yeah thats a good plan, sometimes churchs just have issues with the 'people in power' so to say.

i go to a catholic school, i believe in god, i dont pray and i dont know very many Christians, i dont know much about christians, but isn't it illegal to betray the confidentiality of ...... well... clients?

ooooo i feel real sorry for ya, i really do ='(

If it was a standard confession with an absolution, it must be confidental, I dunno

maybe you should just openly discuss with you parents about acohol and stuff, I mean it's natural, my parents wouldn't mind me drinking(not getting drunk though) but ironicly I don't do any vices.

Good point.

same thing here..except i haven't gone to church in like 3-4 months, don't know why..it just doesn't make any sense...the church i mean at the moment

Ugh. That sucks.

I was raised a Catholic. I don't consider myself that anymore, though. I don't consider myself a religious person, either. Not in the way many people would. I do believe in SOMETHING. But it's definately not what my CCD teacher was force feeding me for 8 years of my life.

The church, the people who go there, the people who run it, etc etc, all of that has completely pushed me away from organized religion. I think it's all bogus, honestly, and the people who are there are simply in it for themselves. Or at least from my experience. A lot of people I used to see at church would put themselves up on a big soap box, preach these ideals, then go and do the opposite. It's really sad.

That's stupid that that youth minister refuses to work with you on this. Just really.... I don't even know how to explain it. If it were ME, I'd be furious.

Woah, my church seems like it is alot of different. We have had our bad days where people have left the church over stupid stuff and then go to another church and speak badly of it or whatever. I find one big problem is making Christianity relevant to today. If churches can't move forward with the times, then there is a problem.

Just curios, what parts of the Bible do you not believe in?

I once went to a Christian church because one of my friends kept begging me to go to her church and balbala. I don't really go to church so I decided to go to her church because well she kept asking every day, every week, bad decision! I came out all shocked and scared! It was...everything I wasn't expecting.

But good luck with your parents.. :/

it wasn't confession... it was just him seeking advice from a youth minister....

I dont like going to curdhes....Its always so stuffy and I dont like priests at all, they are just people and pretending like they are elite..

I sometimes dislike people who are very "religious" because they always seem to think that they are better than you and more pure than you and that they are more okay with God than you are... I'm like "Bitch, I'm fine with God! He is my homie!" :p I'm just kidding I don't say that.. I just think it:lol: :embarrased: :p
