Featured Replies

honestly,my mom likes some songs (Clocks is her favourite) and ONE of my friends, a girl

god... :uneasy: not too many

I have two friend that like Coldplay, the others don't care or they find the music boring.

My mom likes 'Fix you' and 'The scientist' but just those, my dad isn't into that kind of music and my brother calls them words we're not allowed to use on this board..

all of my brothers and sisters enjoy listening to coldplay.. Mum's favourite is Fix You! haha... and many of my friends really like coldplay very much!!

my two friend likes Coldplay, one of them is a little bit in love with Guy.

even my friends who doesnt like them, like Guy. he's the international handsome man

my twin brothers tease me so much about how i love Coldplay, but my mom likes 'Yellow'

Yes. The favourites of my friends are Clocks and Yellow. Can't tell you one person i know who doesn't like Clocks hehe

My sis does, but not much,Placebo are her kings...What about parents-they dont like music and dont even know about Coldplay.Classmates dont know/like them too.So I'm alone but I dont care.

Friends- close ones yeah, there's one guy in my class that really likes them and they call him gay...

Family- well my mum likes to be sarcasthic so, when she saw peformance of Politik on Grammy's 2003 she asked he if Chris ever hurts his head while playing (+ she has that ironic smile) :rolleyes..but she really prefers Verve.

Dad- he has his phases, without Coldplay though, last phase was Eminem and Moby :D

Sister- she likes to joke how she knows every single song coldplay ever made cus i play them so much, but she's gone crazy for Bigger Stronger. She says it's her favourite.

well yes most of my friends like Coldplay or at least don't hate them, but I'm the only one obsessed

my mum likes them...my next step is to make her learn their names but I think this will prove to be difficult :P

One of my friends started to like Coldplay, when they started playing those 'hits' on the radio. Like Speed of Sound and Fix you.

And the next day she was screaming all around that she loves Coldplay and is a huge fan.

my sis likes coldplay.....while i was watching the Brits Awards my mum and i were watching Square One and my mum left the room saying "What kind of rubbish music?" and i shouted saying "they are Coldplay!!! and they rock!!" one of my friends like coldplay and the rest hate them and say they are boring :( my dad doesn't really care to listen to music so i don't think he has heard them :(

Well... I've quite many friends who like Coldplay... at least there are six who "just" like them and at least one who loves them (but not as much like me :nice: ) I haven't ask all my friends how they think about Coldplay, though.

My family's another thing - I think they don't really like Coldplay, at least they switch off the stereo after I put Coldplay in on family-celebrations and stuff ^^

My mum and Dad likes them...i listen to it so much that he even asks me to bring the albums along when we go out in the car or if i help my dad at work.

My eldest brother got me listening to them, but he doesnt like them as much as i. And my other brother i dont think listens to them ever, doesnt even have one album.

I did manage to convert on friend of mine to coldplay, among other bands, and now she listens to them often and realises their is more out there than garage and r'n'b

No! :\ I don´t know anybody who likes them...

My mum likes them because she is glad I am not blasting the house down with really heavy death metal and burning churches in my spare time. My Dad doesn't really like them because I have them on all the time! That said, he does like Bob Dylan and that kind of thing which influenced Coldplay a bit...

Haha my parents maybe would be glad that I like Coldplay, cause they are not heavy and stuff, but I also love Muse, and when I turn on the Hysteria or Apocalypse Please my mom's not so happy

lol My mom has been forced to love Coldplay because for a while it was literally all I played! She had no choice but to give in!! My dad only knows Talk. He said he likes the way Chris dances. AND he likes to imitate it, so he'll jump around like a loon and 'sing.' Oy vey. My family.

As for my friends, eh. Let's just say we don't have the same musical tastes. :( I would say that my bestfriend 'likes' coldplay, but she's not nearly as ga-ga over it as I am!! I took her to the concert and afterwards she complained that her feet hurt from standing up the whole time. fakjhdfakfhda.

This is one reason I come on here!!...to share the cp love with other fans. :)

Not many of my friends liked Coldplay before, but I converted them by dragging them to a concert last year. And this year most actually asked to come along! :cheesy: Best feeling ever! :nice:

erm well my mum and dad both lie coldplay to a degree.tey admit they make good music,i have caught both of them humming along to coldplay songs somewhere along the line  like my mums favs are speed of sound and talk haha probably becuase they are catchy

as for my brother he is 20 years old and he despises coldplay to a degree lol,i mean i love them he knows that and he hates them and does not struggle to tell me  i mean he nicked my parqachutes album for a while and liked a few songs on it while regarding the rest of the songs on it 'weird' and well he never bothered listening to any more stuff....but i know he liked talk becuase i asked him recently when i caught him singing along to it

erm as for friends well noone i am friends with really classes them as a favortie band pf theirs, regarding them as ok....

My mum doesn't hear Coldplay very often, my dad likes them, especially Parachutes and AROBTTH. He once told me that he was disappointed about X&Y. My twin brother is often listening to "Talk", but he doesn't like that kind of music.

A lot of my friends don't like Coldplay or at least don't listening to their music. Well, what a pity! :D

Friends - only my best friend likes them. He didn't mind them much, but then I took him to Earls Court in December and now he really likes them.:)

All my other friends hate them and say they are "depressing" blah blah blah:snore:. They're all lame and listen to crap like Fall Out Boy, so obviously have no musical taste whatsoever :dozey:.

Family - my sisters both think they are good, but not incredible or anything. My Dad wouldn't even know who they are (except that I love them :lol) and my Mum...oh my wonderful Mum, who got me into Coldplay in the first place! :nice: She was a fan from the very start, and made me buy AROBTTH in 2002 coz she knew i'd love it, and i've been hooked ever since. :D

my dad likes them but pretends he doesn't...if any of coldplay single is on the radio he'll turn up the volume and then say something like: they're not that good......my mother complains about how they seem to be everywhere because i listen to coldplay songs a lot and because everytime i catch them on tv all my family has to listen!....finally my brother likes them but it's not obsessed....

as for my friends i passed on my addiction to one of them and some of my other friends like them and others just don't get how i like coldplay....well they have no idea what they're missing...

my sister loves coldplay as much as i do, she's who took me to the concerts. my brother listens to them, my mom thinks they're good but she never really listens to them herself. my dad said he saw talk on mtv and thought it was weird but liked the song

My brother likes Coldplay to a degree and that's a new situation since usually we don't listen to the same kind of music at all..

And I thought that none of my friends like Coldplay, until a couple of days ago a good friend of mine actually said that she'd like to see the LIVE 2003 DVD. That IS strange since she usually likes much heavier music. Who knows, maybe she's a future Coldplay fan:)

*crosses fingers*

This forum is brilliant because there are other equally Coldplay-obsessed people here:cool4: but it definitely would be nice if at least one of my friends wouldn't roll eyes every time I mention Coldplay :dozey:

I know excatly how you feel! The only friend of mine who likes them has moved to the other side of the country

So apart from the people on here, I have no one to talk to about them. If I mention anything remotely to do with Coldplay my friends groan and roll their eyes. It's so frustrating. :(

It's hard, but I've learnt to bite my tounge and keep cp related comments to myself.
